Hello to all at Spaun drums. I've become extremely interested in your snare drums, and want to hear what else you have to offer. I'm looking for a snare drum that cracks like lighting and sings like a bird. Also, with plenty of sensitivity. This snare drum matches those needs perfectly, but I'm sure that you've got others that are similar. What are some of the drums that you make (and have videos of) that project these qualities?
@XxStrongDrums1996xX Everyone has different ears and preferences so it's impossible to determine the best drum for each indivdual. You say "this drum matches those needs perfectly" so we recommend you start with that one!
@spaundrumstv Well, I understand that, but I just want to hear a few different snares from from you guys. From are some other snares you have that sound similar to this one?
I must say...on a snare by snare basis - I've been hard-pressed to find any snares that sound as consistently awesome as what your company produces...you certainly know how to make fantastic sounding snare drums. I generally loathe steel snares...and your vented st. steel snare is now my benchmark for the best snare I've heard...to my ear it blows away my Supra and any of my various old Slingerlands...including my Louie Bellson brass 6.5 x 14. Never thought it possible. Great work gentlemen!
@jrsc288 The tuning on this snare is medium tight. Its all about the quality of what we do not just "any ol" stainless steel shell from "any ol" manufacturer. Our exclusive SBR Solid Brass Resonator lugs, 1/8" high quality stainless steel shell, expert craftsmanship and attention to detail are all part of what makes a Spaun drum great.
@Krazydeath66 Yes, Spaun Stainless Steel snare drums are loud. Significantly louder than a wood snare drum. You can contact us at info @ spaundrums. com for pricing and ordering info. Thanks for checking it out!
@andraxcdd I agree! Just thought it would be cool to show an easy studio trick to make any snare drum much drier, and give it a completely different sound without a lot of work.
I really love this drum!!! @spaundrumstv How much does this drum cost?

Ha! That paper trick was awesome. I usually like the overtones, but that sounded really cool.

Spaun, please make another video of one of your stainless steel snares!

Hey Spaun, how'd you tune this thing? The ring is so nice, and other stainless steel snares aren't like this at all.
