seeing all the dead animals on tables with lights and medicine cabinets make think of some sort of scientific facility that conducts experiments on animals. it does make me feel uncomfortable. BUT I love his work because of that. successful art is art that makes you feel something even if it is a negative feeling. having his viewers feel negatively towards this piece was probably his intent.

I've seen this... it is ghastly, overpriced, and out of place. As is the three story sculpture of a pregnant woman with half her skin peeled off which stands outside. I suspect that Hirst might have secretly intended for this to be a joke--cheeky bastard.
