I can see why people are comparing this with Inception. Chris Nolan is widely known to be a big fan of classic Film Noir and this is shown in a variety of his films, Following, Memento and also Inception - this genre of film is often referred to as Neo-noir because it uses elements of Film Noir; such as plot twists and the anti hero but with updated themes. The short film here however, is both a homage and a parody to Film Noir, exaggerating some of the Film Noir elements for comic effect.

This has great satirical humour that had me laughing throughout. It has been very well executed, replicating an expressionistic, film noir style which along with both the music and sounds effects only add to overall comedy of this piece. Brilliant!

Erm... No. In Romeo and Juliet there is a case of 'fake death' but then Romeo thinks she's dead, killes himself. Juliet wakes up, finds dead Romeo and killes herself for real. So all dead there.
