i thought that this adaptation was just ok. it was better than the one from the sixties. i really don't like when films change the book. the story is all there. whitle it down, don't change it! i wish someone would give me some money to adapt this amazing book (and my favorite from H.G. Wells), i would do it right. i did like the man who played Cavor, but Mr. Bedford bothered me.

I loved this adaption of the HG Wells classic when it was first shown, and on repeat, I find that the effect doesn't lessen. Gatiss, I've got to admit, makes the whole thing; from writing the script that not only treats the text with dignity but also has the courage to diverge from the original, and making Cavor as the original absent minded professor really come to life as a genuinely likeable character. This makes up for the quite frankly poor quality of the Selenite CGI.
