  • eegxactly XD *face palm*

  • you should look up "tokneneng" aka "kwek kwek"

its a filipino "street" food. but i love making it at home. its basically just flour, annatto seeds/powder, some salt, some pepper.

coat it in the batter and then deep fry.

dipping sauce: vinegar with fresh chili, garlic, and onions.

    its delicious. simple and cheap

  • @BLaCkKsHeEp Hey, thanks for the idea - sounds very interesting!

  • lol she did a double take when she said "egg-xactly 3 and a half minutes"

  • awesome thank you!!!!!

  • @x6banginblonde9x My pleasure!

  • OMG next time when i go to the oriental store im getting quail eggs, hard boiling them, and making mini devild eggs!

  • Thank you for uploading this video, I totally enjoyed it and indeed quail eggs are the cutest thing ever, I've been fascinated with them since I was a kid.

  • @dauryjvc Thanks! I never grew up with them, but I loved serving them to my kids. Nothing like cute food.

  • Sorry but at the end of that you scared me half to death. Just staring and suddenly talking.

  • @Provldentone So sorry!

  • @alexmaldonado209 LMAO She has just been miss informed thats all. Bit harsh calling her retarded lol she is trying lol she's trying.

Bobwhite Eggs are white and slightly more pointed! well the ones I used to keep where years ago anyhow!

Your absolutely right though it is from Coturnix, due to the size of it, I reckon its Texas A&M Coturnix maybe?

  • Please note that the egg you are holding is not from a Bobwhite!

Bobwhite eggs have no speckles on them and they are completely WHITE!

You are holding an Egg from a Coturnix Quail, Japanese Quail, Texas A&M Quail etc.

    Hope this helps

  • @MrNativeDancer Oh yes, I've been educated! (I was going on what the farmer's market told me). Either way, they're fantastic. Thanks!

  • @RobinBenzle Yes they are totally agree, just one tip for you, when frying them sunny side up. Crack them and put them into a small pouring jug, heat you pan as normal, then tip them out one by one. Save messing with the shells to much. As for the boiled eggs, try rolling them in mixed herbs and spices you will be amazed at the taste. By the way your salad looks tastey!!

  • @MrNativeDancer Thanks much for the tips!

  • @MrNativeDancer Thanks much for the tips!

  • fuk u

  • @alexmaldonado209 Why would you find the need for a personal attack? Name calling only reflects on you.

  • awesome video thanks!

  • @kyle019 My pleasure!

  • 3:18 LOL its like a barby egg

  • I love your kitchen!

  • Nice video, Bob White eggs are white though.

  • @texas3056 Oh, I know - the farmer at the market told me otherwise...

  • And you're hilarious!

  • @TheBellaTenenbaum Why, thanks!

  • Great video! I'm inspired now! I got quail eggs today at the famers market, and I had no idea what to do with them, but now I do! =)

  • Great video, I am now going to find some and try them. I love ideas like this. Do you raise the birds and get the eggs or buy them

I raised chickens so now maybe will consider qualis now.

  • @zobcity01 I buy them from a farmer's market. Glad to hear you like to try new things!

  • Robin I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this video, but I have one question, when you hard boil your eggs and you run them under cold water, does that not present you with the problem of hardening everything inside the egg, much like chicken eggs? So, if I was to peel the eggs straight from the boil, would I get a creamier egg?

  • duck eggs are were its at

  • @1ukjunglednbraver Check out my video for Duck Egg Pizza..

  • @RobinBenzle They are also packed with all sort of nutrition that are a remedy against digestive tract disorders such as gastritis, stomach ulcer and duodenal ulcer. Another interesting fact is that they improve skin color and strengthen hair making it shiny and voluminous. That’s why quail eggs are used for facial and hair care masks. Thanks for sharing.

  • @inturn23 Wow! Great to know all that stuff. Thanks!

  • Sorry Robin, don't mean to burst your bubble, but I raise 3 different kinds of quail. Those speckled eggs are not out of the Bob Whites. The speckled are out of either the Golden masked, Texas A&M, or the Brown Pharoah. The Bob White eggs are actually solid white.

A good way to peel hard boiled quail eggs; after they are boiled, run cold water in them. Next, cover them with white vinegar and let stand about 12 hours, rinse with cold water and peel. We pickle up to 250 per week.

  • @Gma1456 make sure you drain the water before covering with the vinegar. The vinegar eats away the hard shell and leaves the tough membrane making it much easier to peel.

  • @Gma1456 Thanks. Yes, I know. The vendor was wrong.

  • Don't do that impression again, yeh! lol

  • @Reedy297 Bobby White hahahaha.

  • Hi Robin! Try to get over to Asheville, NC to visit the Biltmore Estate (look 'em up online). I think it would make an enjoyable visit for you, and if you get to go, please visit the Tea Room. They serve a tray of petit fours, including quail eggs. Oh my! They are delicious! Tour the grand house (Vanderbilt's) and enjoy tea in the tea room while listening to classical music (live pianist). Not as expensive as you might think and thoroughly enjoyable. Makes for a lovely day trip. Jeanne

  • @CaledoniaJMR Hi Jeanne! We have done exactly that! Yes, the Biltmore is splendid...

    -Robin

  • @RobinBenzle - That's great! I get to visit several times throughout the year since my daughter lives in Asheville, NC. Those quail eggs were so delicious, I thought they'd be mild and bland, but they were so good!

  • Fun presenter, I love your enthusiasm :)

Do you know how long I should boil quails eggs if I want them soft boiled?

    Thanks

  • @carpii I've never tried that - but I would probably try between 45 seconds to 1 minute. Sounds good..

  • @dementexquisito They'll be a big hit. Party on....

  • nnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooo LOL OMG

  • @Softaa Wow, that's a bit much. I've heard from people in South Korea and Japan who say they're so cheap they buy them by the basketful! By the way, I had a great time in Stockholm once..

    -Robin

  • Typically, the quail eggs you buy from a store are not...

  • your funny you need to be on a tv show

  • That would be nice...

  • I love them! It's fun to serve them for company, too.

  • You are a riot lady! You know, you can have mini toast with those eggs, they are currently out in stores now for Superbowl season, they are cocktail breads by Rubschlager, about 2'x2" size.

  • Wish I could!

  • This video is exactly what i wanted. I needed to see how to boil Quail eggs. They scare me cuz their so tiny, guess they don't need eggsercize . I fully intend on pickling these bad boys Southern Style. There is a local guy here that sells Pickled Quail Eggs and your description of creamy is dead on. THANX for the upload!!
