Rome Total war was released on 22 sep 2004 and the Decisive Battles by the History Channel aired their 1st battle in July of 2004. A preliminary but completely workable version of the game engine was used prior to the games release....WHOMP.

I've seen their pre-alpha gameplay and hell, you don't need to have hundreds of actors, just make a map that resemble the era's terrain, employ the correct soldiers and have two guys do the exact way history tell and wha lah, a epic historical battle remake and History Channel will be happy! yes, it IS an actual game (Rome: Total War), and YES it's good :D the game on its own is good, but especially the mods and their community make it worthwhile!

I've seen their pre-alpha gameplay and hell, you don't need to have hundreds of actors, just make a map that resemble the era's terrain, employ the correct soldiers and have two guys do the exact way history tell and wha lah, a epic historical battle remake and History Channel will be happy! XD
