IMO the fire emblem characters who have been through alot are

1st:Marth:Because he was seperated from his sister and had to fight back with only 4 people to help him he fought those odds and won

2nd: Ike: because he lost his mother and father and to find out that his father killed his mother is heart breaking

3rd: Roy: because even though his father was alive when he died a very young roy with no war experience was left in charge
