  • The dragon is totally watching them battle like "Wtf?" xD

  • amazing graphics!

  • They took the Goblin woman out of the Sega Version. Of all the stuff they put into the Sega Version the violence the heads exploding the trolls vaporising Goblins brains showing and they could not show a single stupid Goblin Lady!

  • i love how the dragon just watches the two wizards like "ooo cool fight! fight! oh hey i can kill that butthole now! *flame* hee hee, later dude!" *descends slowly*

  • i could never figure out how to beat the dragon, i always used the invisibilty and statue spells thinking the dragon would eventually get tired out! LOL

  • i cant understand. You won but the game says game over.. Not even credit roll. it is just as if you just lost

By far, the worst videogame ending ever

  • @yusukeelric It's an old school Game Over. Back then "game over" means the game is over rather than losing. This game was readapted from an old Amiga game after all.

  • @yusukeelric the ending is actually not that bad, the dragon burning the wizard made me lol =)

  • Hmmm i hope there's a ''viagra'' spell book , so that old geizer can do Ana

  • @elpasteur

Why would he need that? He drank from the fountain of youth earlier in the game, so he is a young man at the end of the game when he leaves the caves.

  • Is this TASed? (Tool Assisted Speedrun)

  • @Andremzsptm Nope, this is just a regular run through.

  • I wonder if the same people from EA who made this game bloody and gore with tons of death scence worked on Dead Space for EA Redwood/ Visceral Games or took this as an inspiration?! Well it's been twenty years, but who knows?

  • This brings back so many memories. This game really stirred my imagination as a child. The creative storyline, the unpredictable twists and turns, and the graffic, gratuitous violence was my cup of tea. I never could figure out how to beat it on my own. Now, there is another corner of my childhood that has received closure. Thank you.

  • The song through the battle is very nice.

  • what the fuck , this game is too hard and was an nes nerd

  • That dragon wasted no time burning up that dude!

  • Very underrated game. The Apple IIGS version is far superior, especially in terms of music. Also the iigs has no continues, you die and thats it. Still, great post and a great game.

  • Well the ending wasn't THAT bad but it could have been a bit more rewarding =/

  • Loved this game, though I found it well difficult when I was a kid.

  • EPIC! I almost cried the frist time I beat this game

  • lol @ the ending

    "game over, play again?"

  • I notice that the attacking skeleton may be the one who is on the box cover (Grim Reaper)

  • 2:03 - ear rape

  • @Forsete If you think the noise is bad try seeing what happens if you miss THAT part and dont use the sonic spell.

  • I remember this game from when I was younger. Thought it was the best thing since sliced bread at the time! hahah my buddy beat it (It was nearly impossible) and we waited for this great ending...man were we disappointed!!! What a piece of crap! Fun seeing these old games on YT. Thanks for posting.

  • just be glad you didnt play this on the IIGS. it sure looked and sounded better than this, but it was beyond hard to control.

  • Someone tell me, was there at any time in this game where it gave you any indication of the order to use the spells in on the dragon?! I got to the last level on this ONCE back in the day, and didnt know the order...

  • Epic

  • I heard there's an alternate ending, is that true and if so can someone upload it?

  • Ah, Im just walking back and recognizing all of my faves, I still luv this game, nothing will seperate me from it!

  • dude you effing rock

  • Never went back to finish this game. Was fun to see how quickly it was completed. Nice upload!

  • And Mordamir makes the classic villain mistake of explaining his plans and weaknesses in great detail BEFORE killing the hero.

*holds up amulet in plain view*

"As long as I have this amulet, the dragon won't attack me!"

    *magnet spell* "YOINK!"

    *dragon burninates Mordamir*

  • Comment removed

  • And yet, the dragon seemingly has no problem with torching YOU despite the fact you have the amulet...

  • Ah, but the amulet protection won't work for YOU. The point of getting it away from Mordamir was so the dragon would be able to go after the guy he *really* hated. :)

  • GREAT game...but 'GAME OVER...PLAY AGAIN?" HELL NO!

  • So the wizard you have to save, backstabs you in the end.

  • Yup...LoL

  • I couldn't get past the last level. But I loved playing it. I wish I still had my SEGA and all the games.

  • Sega's are cheap, but I doubt you would find the Immortal anymore

  • Emulator.

    That's all you need.

  • Console > Emulator

Consoles are better than emulators and definitely worth the actual experience.

  • Awesome videos! Yeah I couldn't get passed level 2 either, mainly because I didn't know how to block so I just kept mashing the attack button!

  • I remember beating this...SOOOO hard. One of my favorite games ever. TY sir =D

  • Mordammir is such a retard, he said he left you all the chests, therefore the blinks, fire prot, statue, and magnetic so its almost as though he planned to die by you, told yah he was retarded!

  • This would be a good point, except that some of that is left by Dunric :)

Although, he's still kind of a retard for holding up his amulet in clear view and saying "Gee golly good thing I have this or I'd be toast"

  • (My last post was suppose to be a response to Nightelf007 ;; )

  • You are definately right, I loved the game but now they have all these better games for x-box n such...I dont play it anymore but its fun to go back down memory lane

  • To Nightelf007:

Erm, nope. If you remember, it was DUNRIC who gave you the spells for statue, sonic protection and magnetic hands. You don't get those from one of Mordamir's chests. He indeed gives you Fire protection and blink, though. Since he thinks you'll use them to kill the dragon, together with the amulet.

Nevertheless, this game is epic. Although, I must recognize that I was dumb enough to drop the bag of bait early in the game. The result: Giant worm ate me. Such a stupid death...

  • it is just after 1am here in Ireland and I just completed it!!!!!!!!! I started playing the immortal at about 10pm and I watched all of your videos. Because of them i was able to finish the game for the first time in one sitting. I still have the same game cartridge from when I was 6. I was only ever able to get to level 2 and always got knobbed by the will o wisp. Thank you so much for making these video's, I finally got to beat this incredibly difficult game. THANK YOU!!!

  • Great vids dude

  • All 8 vids are quality mate, a trip down memory lane!

  • only 8 levels.. yet it was the longest dam game in the world to beat

  • que final mais ridiculo!

  • You and my brother at age 12 are the only ones I know who beat this game. My hats off to you! This game is very hard. I watched from beginning to end and it was a great post. Maybe I can copy you and attempt to do this myself.

  • Thank you. Yes that is one purpose of my videos; to help those in need.

  • awesome! i could never get past the first level of this game XD

  • I dont think it was the water that put a spring in your step, lol

  • The end of the battle when you steal the amulet that guy was just asking to get robbed he just made it so predictable.

lol to the game over play again part I don't think anyone would replay this game from the start once beaten.

  • Yes, to right, I need to move onto another game now :).

  • Very well done sir! I know this game is horribly difficult and I applaud your mastery of it. I was never able to get the hang of the combat system, so even if I am doggedly determined, I would have never seen the ending, thanks for showing it. I never got past the fourth level.

  • I think the nes version has a slightly different ending, something about being young enough to be with Ana now. I don't know, its been YEARS Since I played it.

  • The final battle is interesting, as for the ending. Not so good! Game over, play again? HAHA

  • I know, the makers could've been more enthusiastic about the final words to you after going through this hard game. But no! They tell you that you died.
