is this the january 10 1943 counter attack? if it is, than this is true and clear propaganda, because that was actual the second and final attempt the german and its allied armies ever tried in an attempt to take russia, the rest of the war was played in defence for them against an over whelming amount of russian infantry and fire power.
kursk was to take the caucassian oil fields, they knew now military forces were not going to overrun the soviet armies now that they organized. they hoped to evetually destroy the western forces to get their armies to eventually come in, as currently they were on the defence from a soviet counter offensive that caught them off guard because the night before a german desserter was interrogates and got the information out.
