It was a chilly night so I added the bivi bag for extra warmth and slept very well. The hammock is very cheap $40 the tarp was purchased seperately and about the same price. My wife just laughed at my spoon.I now take it out with me and use it as a working bushcraft spoon! Most of my gear is cheap although yesterday my new axe arrived. It's a Haltafors axe handmade in Sweden. You have given me an idea for next vid. Will show my gear so you can see.
You are a true woodsman, I can tell! I am sure your wife will treasure her new spoon! I was wondering, what type of gear do you have? Is your tarp and hammock a set, or did you purchase them separately? Also, in this video you used or had a bivy sack over your sleeping bag? It looked like you had a cover completely over yourself? The hat with the cover that went over your mouth was also a great idea. Am enjoying your videos. Thanks, Christine
@jssawyer1993 I hope you enjoyed that piece of music! It was a part of a song called "Cambodia" by Kim Wilde.I had to cut it and copy to get the piece and length of music I wanted.
@survivingoutdoors Well you never know Tim.Would be great to meet you one day.All my camping of late has been in woodland in my local area.
In my latest wildcamp video I have made an excursion into bread making and dutch ovens. The dutch oven was nothing more than a lightweight stainless saucepan and lid with hot coals heaped on top.It worked great.
cant wate till feb roost shooting mate broke my foot last day of the pheasent shooting this year so i missed the roost shooting. my dog was not happy to lol.
Another great video Sandy, so entertaining and inspirational. Lovely spot to visit when you want to. Yes, sleeping in a hammock can help you slumber so much longer...but you can miss the dawn chorus sometimes. LOL
great video, carving does bring joy. pity no rook in the trap could have had some wild food then. on my FB page i have some of the spoons and bits i have carved out. nice night out as well. keep them coming............by the way as for the radio i did study but did not take the exam for my license that was many years ago now. and was a cook in the army for a few years which i did enjoy so
Celtic heritage then Sandy? Making 'love spoons' ? Thanks for the video. Cuckoo sounding here in Worcestershire for a couple of weeks but no Nightingale yet.
