They were very excited according to my recollection (I was at Game 7). I think its the camera not picking it up. But I was at Game 1 of that series and the energy sucked. I stood up turned around and yelled at the crowd for being pansies and sitting back and waiting for something to happen. For real Angels fans, Games 6 and 7 exorcised the demons of 1979, 1982, 1986, and 1995...all BRUTAL ways to lose. Seems you have to go full circle to get over your past...and the Angels did. Unfortunately, they also became overwhelmed with flaky Angelenos who saw the latest winner and tagged along for the ride. Always devalues, but never erases the achievement. As an A's fan, I watched the Giants/Angels series hoping for daily rain (LOL) but respected what Anaheim did to win that title.

But every fanbase deals with bandwagon fans when they start to win.
