  • much more exciting than the bugatti

  • haha, bullshit. For a start it's not a song.

  • Thats what it says " NOW AT 15 :P " :P....meaning: he's 15 now (well. then )

  • aproape atinge perfectiunea.....cu ani va devenii si mai bun

  • loris234, "va deveni".

  • scz.... m-am grabit :))

  • oh my god.. This guitar is terrible.. but Mircea plays great of course

  • WOW!!!

  • Now I see it's Joaquin Rodrigo composition...

  • The bright tone is mostly because he's playing a flamenco guitar not a classical guitar. I think he feels it's the right tone for the very Spanish piece. You can tell it's flemenco because the sides are light colored cypress instead of rosewood. It gives a very bright, percussive sound. Interesting.

  • As far as the bright tone, no one seemed to think that maybe it was a function of the video recording methods used, and less a result of his--"poor technique". The young man is a virtuoso in the making in any case.

  • Amazing artist, amazing piece of music...

  • il stiu pe bulangiu' ala :))

  • he's amazing and should get a better guitar

  • Fuck off all you critics - the boy is good!

  • right!

  • here, and in his other video playing the same piece he is making a mistake in accentuation, its ternary no binary he is in agrouping in two in the first attack of notes, note that....

  • I think the thin and bright tone is because his right hand is closer to the bridge than to the sound hole. Moving the right hand up would add depth to the sound.

  • His tone is not deep, but this is from the age i think. He`s 15 years old!!! When he grow up little more it`ll get better, i`m sure.

  • good playing and showmanship, but the tone is so bright and brittle. Like Filsuf said, right hand needs work; i think just lowering the guitar a bit would help tremendously.

  • Your left hand is ok, but your right hand touching needs more maturity. Play slower, explore the timbre, experiment with combination of timbres, and practice a lot of patience. Remember, for guitarist, the music is not on the left hand!! It is on the right hand.

  • lol this guy is a romanian just like me

  • I think hi has to mature, the talent is no enough . He was not my favorite guitar pleyer in GFA. I has to dont move his face to much and put more atention in his interpretation, Hi has to focus now and think that there are many people with the same o more talent than him so the result in his future will be great.

  • Yes and if he doesn't move you will come to say he "lacks feeling". Please...

  • Wrongo bongo. He was the best in the GFA competition. I was there. I listened very closely, and I've cultivated my tastes to be able to judge rightly.

  • wow.....his talent blows me away.....i am about the same age, and my skills are nothing compared to his

  • Wow! I'm very impressed, and glad to see a young generation on the guitar already so proficient! We need a new generation of artists on the guitar who push the instrument further. Very good, thanks for sharing!! w.

  • BRAVO!

  • not bad for 15 years old boy.

  • I just got back from the Texas guitar competition and he's one of the top four. We will know the result tomorrow. Man, this guy is just amazing, please do come back to the States more often Mircea !!!

  • Actually he just won the 2nd prize in Dallas (Texas guitar competition )- and in the finale he played just this piece.

  • Hey! amazing video! What song is this? Who is the composer? Does anybody know what luthier has made this guitar or what model is it? Thank you!

  • "Zapateado" from "Tres Piezas Espanoles" by Joaquin Rodrigo

  • amazing, when will you be in america again???// im in juilliard+great playing

  • where is your head<<<<<<<<<<

  • those 2 scale passages are sooo much easier to play legato. I have never heard them played completely non-legato. I don't think non-guitarists appreciate how hard that is or what a potential train wreck this piece is as a whole. great interpretation! amazing technique! keep your eye on this kid.

  • Mircea Stefan Gogoncea (now 16) recently won the 1st prize of the 2007 YGSC Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) competition in Los Angeles, California

  • mori baiat talentat ce esti....

glumesc...sunt dor invidios..foarte invidios...vrea si eu sa pot asa

    serios...bravo...excelent

  • god bless you my friend.

    marcelo

  • Thank you for posting these videos!

  • could have been better ... needs some def. work, couple big mistakes, and some sloppy passages, but overall okay. Listen to Jerome Ducharme play this if you want to hear perfection.

  • haha you're funny ducharme is like 29 years old and this guy's just 15 here :P imagine how good he mey become ;)

  • wow.

  • "I suppose you've heard of this theachers, the best from Romania" ...georgescu. best teacher in romania..

I had a really good laugh! Thank you!

  • he's really good :D

  • talented for his age, nice picado, excellent program repertoire

almost non-existent legato, terrible rhythm, terrible dynamic interpretation. I'm sure he practices very hard but he needs to stop thinking like a guitarist and start thinking like a musician.

  • Hey, guess what? He IS a guitarist! When playing a solo, guitarists can play however they want.

Oh and by the way, he's 15 years old. It must suck to be that bitter, angry and resentful...

  • "im just tryin to advance the species"

    You might try castrating yourself.

  • You guys are just jealous, if you would know what you are talking about here...that would make a difference. Mircea is one of the most amazing, incredible, talented, entertaining...person i've ever met. he plays wonderful, colourful just lovely music!!

    regards.

  • Your an idiot

  • Read the video presentation : "Mircea Stefan Gogoncea (now 16) recently won the 1st prize of the 2007 YGSC Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) competition in Los Angeles, California"

  • Your head really must hurt, am I right?

Mircea studied classical guitar with Eugen Mang and now he is in Liviu Georgescu's class - yourself being a Romanian "guitarist" (Brouwer fan?), I suppose you've heard of this theachers, the best from Romania - not to mention all the other foreign first class teachers Mircea had (has).

And by the way, are you also a "stupid Balkan player"? Or just stupid? :D

Also, it's very laim to register just to post a malitios comment :))

  • what's diffenence between rosewood and the wood of his guitar?

  • very beautiful :')

  • Nice work Mirc. :)

  • This is really good. Even though I don't listen to classical music much, you still have to respect the skill in this.

  • Awesome guitar work, man!

  • Wow. Awesome guitar work!

  • Holy crap dude, you`re better than Vlatko Stefanovski! Where can I buy a CD? :D

  • Excellent classical guitar Mirc - I'm really impressed! And congrats on winning the prize.

  • This is actually the first time I've heard classical guitar. Amazing!

  • mIRC (Just did that to piss you off :P)

That was probably the best live music I've ever heard.

  • Very nice Mirc. I had heard you were good, but I didn't know you were THAT good.

    Congrats on the prize too.

    CFC FTW !

  • WOW@!!!!!!!
