no it doesn't i have one it's a great machine i do and wil not circuit bent it.
it works great via midi and software, also if you have a good effects processor or pc with b.v. a EMU 1616 patchmixer and effect it sounds amazing, circuit bending etc. is difficult if you wanna do it wright.
Looks and sounds good. I'd imagine a good long run on this leads to all sorts of places. The three i've done are compact and were just based around the glitch bends but even with those you can play around and improvise with the things for hours. If someone figures out a way to re-program the roms and make new ones that's not too much of a headache then i reckon a couple of panel mounted zif sockets would turn this machine you've made into one of the ultimate modded 505's out there.
@anode8 Hey, apparently I never got your reply. I actually don't have any gear to get bent at the moment, but if you are in the US I will give you a free Alesis HR-16 that needs a voice chip/eprom.. just pay shipping. Just figured I'd offer. I had some drum machines a year ago but I had to sell off all my gear to pay for living expenses while back in college! D'oh!
Red,your comments are ''useless''..REALIZE-These units function EXACTLY as normal when the mod switches/patchports are dis-engaged.if anything,by bending these units, you are expanding them by openning up they're sonic abilities, and adding value to them all around..Artistic & Dollar Wise. You should try bending sometime...

ah man, how do you program those? Im such a noob :(
georgemc25 2 years ago
I am completely in awe. Nicely done, and I don't think Ive ever seen someone program so fast! was this rehearsed?!
tylervanbach 3 years ago 3
No, it wasn't rehearsed. It's totally impromptu and I've been using the TR-505 for about 13 years now.
anode8 3 years ago
Very impressive. I assume you circuit bend and then sell electronic instruments? Do you have a site?

This is my personal unit that I use for my live shows, and it is not for sale. I do usually have some stuff for sale on E-bay, user ID anode8.

Also what fun is buying bent stuff? 90% of the fun is making the bend yourself, 10% is using it later. Great job, anode
