reason just looks like they complicate it to make it seem like it's professional...I hate how they like pretend to have wires and shit....I use ableton live 8 and so do many professionals....you can do so much with it and it doesn't try to complicate things when they shouldn't be....no hate towards any other program, just my preference. I hate when people fight over which program is "better" when there is no such thing as better for the individual preference.
Yo bro, that trick about using the RV7000 for mixing was slick. My mixes sound better now and less mono. My issue is the difference it has in clarity when I upload my tracks to Soundclick. Suggestions?
dope beat. Propellerhead is a strong program that it change my life. Not far as poor to riches but from the streets to being home with my family working with my equipment i'm bless to have. Peace
they even felt the need to draw a fan hole graphic and power cord graphic in that thing! so much clutter! i had to stop watching this video; migraine!
I have loads of reason refills in all styles trust me something for everyone here as well as sample C.D's/ Loop Kits/ Loop C.D's/ Tutorials and much more.
I have all the factory sounds from every drum machine made in the last 20
years including the AKAI MPC range with MPC programmes. All available in wav or reason refill format. Trust me, you want it I got it I have everything! Contact me for a full list!
That rnb joint was hardbodied g...do you buy your samples? and wats ur general/ usual RnB Construction method (e.g. synth, bass, drums, riffs) if u hav one. Keep the videos up cuz they useful.
ya myabe. I just like how reason sticks with hardware based emulation. It makes it easy (at least for me) when I go into the studio and want to add some other hardware aspects.
That was cool bruh thank you. This may be a lot to ask but do you think you can post up some actual eq techniques to help those incredibly new to producing like myself? Once again great tutorial lots of help Ima start doing this soon as I figure out how to use the eq lol.
I can. When mixing eq, mix that shit to wear it sounds good to you. when your mixing bass your frequencies should be in the 50's. thats one little tip.
Hey man I want to say I dig your templates, you know Reason very well. You should get into selling lessons to the brotha's ya know, you would know how to reach them.but still keep posting on the TUBE.
Im assuming you mean vocals. You have to record them in another program like pro tools, cakewalk ect... Then load the vocal .wav file into any of the samplers in reason. If you want more control of the vocals take the .wav into recycle and chop it up and make a .rex file then import it into the dr rex. Hope this helps
@hollowaysteele Use a real DAW like Ableton or FL Studio if you want to work with vocals. Reason is a synth rack with some basic DAW features, it isn't actually meant to be used as a standalone production tool even though it has enough basic features that it can be.
@Brinemusic And every other program is even more powerful if you know what you're doing. It doesn't matter how you slice it, Reason is little more than a synth rack with some basic DAW features. It has never been and never will be a real DAW, this is from the mouths of its creators themselves.
@KevinDolin You just don't know how to use it. It's far more complex than any other DAW with VST plug ins making it ridiculously easy. If you want to learn production the proper way then Reason id the only option.
@zebbedi You really have no idea what you're talking about. Reason is the easiest program to learn. Everything is visual drag-n-drop.
If you want to learn real production, Reason is the worst thing you can do because it's nothing like real DAWs. Too many people have no idea what to do when sitting in front of a real DAW when all they've ever used are band-in-a-box beginner programs like Reason.
@KevinDolin I know exactly what I'm talking about. I'm involved with music producers and I use Cubase, Logic, Pro tools, Ableton and Reason. Reason is by far the hardest to produce with.
@zebbedi reason just looks like they complicate it to make it seem like it's professional...I hate how they like pretend to have wires and shit....I use ableton live 8 and so do many professionals....you can do so much with it and it doesn't try to complicate things when they shouldn't be....no hate towards any other program, just my preference. @IkeProductions89 Its not if you know exactly what you're doing and it's always good to know how to use as many programs as possible if you're gonna persue music right?
@OFFICIALOOZiSOUNDZ yes but you need to mainly stick with one because if you learn that program inside and out then your workflow will be ten times better.
i have reason 3 and it keeps saying found new hardware but it wont allow me to use my oxygen 8 keyboard. it doesn't seem to read any signals. i go to the preferences on reason and i do what it says but i cant get any sounds from the keyboard. i believe that i have the right driver downloaded. the keyboard works fine though. can someone help. thanks

Nice stuff homey... good tutorial... I just started using Reason lie 3 days ago after using FL 6 and 7 for the last 2 years so I have a long way to go but your vid helps alot.. .and nice track
Smooth Track i like music like that. I'm still trying to get use to reason everybody is lightyears ahead of me. apprciate the tip i'll try throwing some EQ's in on my tracks. I usually do the same thing but with a compresser and maximizer minus the merger and splitter but i'll give your way a chance. Again Nice track Good tutorial. Peace
are you getting paid to do these tutorials... if not you need too.
