This is indeed a great song; one of my favorites. Definitely, it has an Irish flavor and Irish characters, but it comes from the U.S. state of Michigan in the 1800's. Apparently based loosely on some real characters who feuded over a girl based on Molly. It is more widely known as "Jack Haggerty." You can find versions on CD Baby by "Growling Old Men" or on Amazon by "Touchstone." Both are great versions. I've never heard the version on this video; it's pretty good!
