Street Fighter was nominated for a Saturn Award because of Raul Julia's outstanding performance as M. Bison. I would give Mortal Kombat a Saturn nomination to either Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa or Christopher Lambert playing, Shang Tsung or Raiden.

Are this many of you THIS stupid or are you just trying too hard to be intelligent? The reason he calls it a Flawless Victory is due to the fact it was in essence, the final round. From the point of him getting back to his feet announcing that he was indeed the chosen one, until the finish of him impaling the opponent. Shang Tsung never touched him one during the final exchange. It's not that hard to grasp.

The thing is, if you apply the actual rules and fundamentals of the Mortal Kombat video game..(Which the movie is derived from..) it still technically isn't a.."Flawless Victory" as no physical contact can be made.

Had Liu avoided Tsung's remaining wave of punches, sure. But he blocked all of them, which is considered.."Guard Damage."

at 8:17-8:24 how can Shang Tsung decompose that quick decomposition takes longer that that first stage is fresh, the second is putrefaction, the 3rd is decay (or dry decay depending on climate) and the final one is skeletalization which can takes thousands of years, no body after death start decomposing that quick LOL

Besides Shang Tsung was considered a mage and he wasnt from Earth, Liu kang even said he has no soul so he steals the souls from those he defeats. Lolz the souls of a 1000 warriors and he only summons like 6. Overall for the time it came out the movie was pretty good and i enjoyed it as a kid. The Sequal Sucked balls dont even bother watching that. :P

Man, this entire movie brings back memories. I remember the day that this movie premired (16 yrs. ago come this August!) I remember waking my mom up early in the morning, and reminding her that we had to see this movie in the afternoon. I remember freaking out at a stop light, since I was afraid we'd miss the movie.
