It took me 3 years before I could make my video memorial to Meathead. I lost my girl, Mudpie, 3 years ago and still haven't been able to work up the courage to work on her video.

No the pain doesn't go away but finding another pet to love does ease the pain. And the wonderful memories will be there forever. I still miss Brutus but smile when I look over and see my current Bully "Annie" and remember woning them is all worth it,even when you have to let go.

There is a special place in heaven for our dogs. While other family members are loved as much, they are not completely dependent upon you. They aren't necessarily always there to cheer you up when you've had a bad day. When my dog was dealing with the pain of cancer., for as long as he could he dragged himself to the door when I came home from work and showed genuine pleasure that I had arrived. That's what makes them special. So sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my beloved Bulldog Dec. 3rd last year and actually lost my other dog 9/07/07. Tough year. Lou was the same as Brutus, brindle and white. Thank you for sharing. I still cry like it was yesterday.
