I can assure you vitas doesn't have any trouble hitting any notes. He moves the mic away just to prove to the audience he is actually singing. There is no sound effects added to his voice what so ever thats his actual voice and its people like you that make vitas move his mic away lol. @Ikarius2000 It is called a counter tenor. Not very common though. The prior condition is a voice shaped over many years and constant training. He must have worked a lot on his voice. But a lot of men could do that with enough training. Most counter tenors do have musical and vocal experience starting from infancy though. I don't know about him.

How ever I think he's using a bit of a sound enhancer to make his vocals stronger, probably a bit of chorus. It even sounds like he's using pitch corrector to make his voice a bit more like synthesizer. It all adds more color to the picture to the perfect pitch that he has.

Besides that you have the many moments where the sound effects try to hide how out of tune he is, or how he can't connect the musical phrase has he should and the moments when he suddenly does a distasteful crescendo in the end of some phrases.

Go hear Luciano Pavarotti singing this, and you will have a perfect example of how to pay respect to beautiful music.
