Ryo and the vocaloid group found huke's brs in pixiv similar to the appearance of miku hatsune and that is why they had a collaboration to make the song "Black rock shooter" sung by miku..... i'm not sure if i got it correct though....

Every Saturday they air anime while through out the week they plays shows like Family Guy, American Dad, King of the Hill and some of their original shows. And yes, it's American. @artemis6622 The Black Rock Shooter history as I know it is that there was a picture drawn by Huke that inspired the Vocaloid PMV after Huke joined Supercell (thus Miku's being involved, if only briefly).
The song then got enough hype to inspire an OVA which brought in further hype evolving it into a manga, an anime, and a game. Each one taking their own spin off the OVA and having no relation to each other.
There are also a ton of smaller projects sprinkled in there.

Only one episode for this (the OVA), but on the 2nd of February, 2012, the Anime for Black Rock Shooter is scheduled to be released!

it stands for Original Video Animation
its and anime that wasn't aired on TV and only available on DvD or VHS where vhs is still available :)
