Didn't driving in the snow with the body off hurt the engine or any of the electronics? I just got a new T-maxx and I was just wondering how bad it actually is to drive it in the snow
No as long as you make sure no snow or wetness gets into the receiver box, battery box, or servos (as long as the snow isn't too wet it should fine for the servos as long as you blow it off good after your done before it melts any. I blow all of the snow off with a compressor and make sure everything is pretty dry, then I let it sit in the stationary tub upright for a couple hours so any hidden snow melts out, then I spray WD-40 on any area's I think rust could form.
I usually have the engine wrapped in aluminum foil but I forgot to and I was outside already. That helps it run hotter in the cold. But about the snow getting into the engine part, from what I can tell as long as it's fluffy and dry it just lightly sticks to the air filter and air just passes through. And from things I've seen if a small (I mean pretty small considering engine size) amount of water gets in there it just burns with the fuel.
It's pritty cool
