  • Mmmm its my first time hearing this band and I really like them=]]

  • nice! he realy fits in to this band. nice songs too!

  • I think people should appreciate the troops and waht they do, like others have said on here, its their job and its wat they have to do. I feel for their families and I hope all of them return safely and soon as possible. We shouldnt be having political debates on this. Just enjoy the music and if you dont agree with it, then so be it. Im all for what these guys stand for and if your not, then dont listen to it.

  • Ya dude I met him in Detroit he gave me a hug and said he was sorry for my buddy just passing....

  • seeing them at warped tour and so excited!

  • me too! June 28

  • me aug 3

  • whoever the leadsinger is he put on a great show in detroit at the majestic friday april 18th. also squatch micheal is right and only 273 days until George "Dubuya" is out of the white house with the dick in chief chenney!

  • The leadsinger is Mike McColgan, he is the coolest dude ever, he was the original lead singer of Dropkick , I was at that show also on friday anti-flag was horrible....

  • pro gi, anit war.

with that being said, i have a few friends going into the military, and one of them is doing it partly due to college. i keep telling him to come back safely, and maybe ill see him when he coms back. also, i had family who fought in the useless war, and my uncle was told that he would be sent back over if he pulled his papers to get out, he didnt. my dad retired after one tour over in the navy. we thank god everyday that they made it.

  • my heart is with my brother and all the other brave hearts who are out their putting their lives on the line. < 3

god bless for those who believe in him.

    for others, just <3

  • I saw the Street Dogs at the Show Box in Seattle. The HIGHEST ENERGY SHOW I have ever seen. Mike McColgan is a great performer, and a true egalitarian. At the end of the show, he crowd surfed out and shook hands with us.

  • Murder and rape has always been a part of humanity, no need to critizice that either. They just do as they please.

  • I DO NOT SUPPORT THE AMERICAN WAR but i do for canada

  • k thx

  • As an army wife whose husband is deployed, all I really want is for him to come home safe so he can see his daughter grow up. It's not about politics, or "anti-war" for me. Because what I feel doesn't matter, or what anyone feels really doesn't matter. This song always makes me tear up. It's his coming home song.

  • People always know everything about combat, espically those that have never been involved in it.

  • these guys did fight

  • Does it really matter who supports what and why ? This is the volunteer military, they break things and kill people thats their job . They are going to be there until the mission is over wether the people like it , love it, hate it, or are undecided. Its so easy for us to just say "I support this but dont support that". Does the war on terror really need the preamble of what part we support ? I love the song but I dont give a shit about who thinks what. It sounds so arrogant

  • My cousin is fighting in Afghanistan i don't agree with the war at all but i hate people who insult the troops there just doing there jobs like everyone else. SUPPORT THE TROOPS NOT THE WAR!

  • The troops could have chosen another job. If you suport the troops, by the same logic would have o suport bank robbers and drug dealers who also hurt people and making a living by trading risk to profit.

  • I agree to some point but at the same time most kids join the war because free school and easy enployment after. I feel for them and there families. If they stopped the war there would be no need to support the troops. Also someone who joins the war usually belives (stupidly) there probably doin the right thing.Supporting the war. Bank robers and drug dealers probably know what there doing something they shouldn't be. It all comes down to opion and how you look at it.

  • yeah, student loans are responsible for a high percentage of military enlistments...,its a conspiracy.

  • Fuck you.

These are KIDS for the most part and are either disillusioned by their parents, or this "president" we have. Most of the troops ARE kids, and many were TOLD that Iraq had something to do with 911.

  • If 9/11 has nothing to do with Iraq why is there Al Queda terrorist cells based in Iraq who were backed by Saddam? Remember we are fighting a GLOBAL War on Terrorism. I fully support the campaigns in Iraq and A-Stan and elsewhere in the world for the sake of the future. We don't deserve to be a world power if we aren't willing to defend our country, we were attacked and I'd rather spend years fighting in a foriegn country than spend one hour fighting a war here in America.

  • "If 9/11 has nothing to do with Iraq why is there Al Queda terrorist cells based in Iraq who were backed by Saddam?" Simple. Saddam didn't want to just let our troops in, correct? He wanted to fight. Al Quaeda was simply a natural ally.

  • Also, you say that you "fully support the campaigns in Iraq and A-Stan and elsewhere in the world for the sake of the future".I assume you mean that you support a future in which more young Iraqis become indoctrinated into terrorist organizations, where the people of "Iraq and A-stan" and the world feel nothing but enmity toward our once respected country, where the United States is seen as an oppressor nation, not a liberator (remember that the Iraqi government wants a timetable for withdrawal).

  • United States government acts like its still the world power, well guess what tis not going to be like that for long thanks to mr. george bush. the debt the country has fallen into cause of this war will be felt by many generations. goodbye american power and lets all learn chinese cause thats where the world is headed.

  • The US would be more of a world power if we weren't in Iraq and Afganistan. Could not agree more.

  • The following two comments refer to sarmedic8401's post.

  • Oh shut the fuck up. You have no fucking clue what your talking about. Drug dealers and bank robbers aren't risking their asses to keep us safe. Soldiers are keeping us safe. It was their choice protect, not to kill. Get your head out of your ass.

  • DOUCHEBAG

  • Heres what I stand on.

I am against the war in Iraq.

I support the troops all the way.

Mike McColgan, the Singer of Street Dogs is AGAINST the war in Iraq and Afgani. I know this after seeing them four times that they say bring them home now right building into this song. He was in Gulf War. I do not know him personally at all and I do not expect him to know me. i have met him a few times in one night in 2006 at the bouncing souls in boston. Wonderful guy.

  • KICK ASS SONG, KICK ASS BAND, AND KEEP ON KICKING TERRORIST ASS!!! God Bless the Troops

  • so whats it take to be a military attack on us a fucking nuke

  • This whole "support the troops" business seems like a government propaganda campaign to make people think that supporting our brothers and sisters in the armed forces entails supporting the stupid policy. Of course we support the troops, that's ridiculous. That being said, My cousin is out there and he's a selfish, psychopathic prick - so like Doug Stanhope says, yellow ribbons should come with a spot to write in exactly which troops you support.

  • Easy to say that sitting on your ass in front of your computer at home huh?

  • It sure is. It's also easy to drive around a gas sucking SUV with fifty yellow ribbons all over it claiming that you support the troops more than anyone else.

  • What we should have is a draft. Then maybe people would actually start caring about how our armed forces are utilized. If I were drafted, I rather go to jail then go to Iraq and protect corporate interests. Now if we were to intervene in Darfur to stop the genocide I'd join up in a second. But it's clear Bush cares more about his permanent military bases in Iraq and protecting the oil fields than democracy and justice.

  • you sit there a say all your stupid shit I do not support the war but i sure as hell support the troops who defend people who dont give a shit like you and your nothing but a poser with your scene shit you do everthying by the book to be more like your scene to fit in the most stfu you pathetic waste of a human being

  • FUCK YOU YOU son of a bitch fucking pieces of shit piss me the fuck off you dont have to like your country or your goverment but treat the troops with alittle respect asshole i bet youd think ten times different if it was your father brother or cousin over there defending your sorry pathetic ass you call your self a punk or an anarchist take your stupid shit and shove it up your ass

  • I lol'd. You know most of the troops over there support what we're doing, right? The whole politics bit. And what are they defending again? This country hasn't "defended" itself since the aftermath of Pearl Harbor. No military attack on US soil has taken place since then. If you can even count that.

  • In my view every soldier is an idiot. They join an army and from that day on they must do whatever the CURRENT goverment want them to do. Without have the choice to desgn their own lifes...

In this discussion here we should not forget that soldiers are also not that political interessted as our scene is. Meatheads that dont care...

National proudness is also dumb. Why should I be proud of a country in that I was born only randomly?

  • Please explain why we should support the dupes?

  • Because it's okay to love your country and support the troops, while still objectifying to things your government does... like this stupid war.

  • So I should generalize and support all the troops? Even the ones that torture, rape and murder in the name of imperialism? I should respect folks I don't know, who have decided to learn how to fight and kill for corporate profits? I also don't believe in nation states, so love of country is a foreign concept to me. I would prefer to be more of a world citizen, cause we're all in this together. Oh, and thanks for not flaming me, I appreciate that!

  • I know some of our troops are fucked in their heads, I'm not saying support THAT shit they're doing. - And I do know people that signed up for the Army before this war was started just to get to go to college, not all of them wanted to be there. No problem bro, I'd rather discuss things that flame people like an idiot, you got a good head on your shoulders!

  • Do you have evidence. US soldiers who have committed crimes have paid for it. Oil is worth fighting for. Freedom isnt free, ask an Iraqi. The war is a mess, all wars are a mess. Lets finish the job there or you will be bitching about it safely here in 10 years. Its great you can disagree and accuse people of rape, murder and torture. Me and people like me have already won your freedom

  • Toonis right on man, every war people complain, the government is use to it, just stop complaining, it won't change a thing, Oh and the Iraqis have tortured us worse than we torture them, just watch the Saddam Torture videos (and those are his own people, imagine what happens to their enemies)You should NEVER sign up for the military to get a "college" education, you should join to defend your freedom or to help gain it (i am speaking about ALL countries)

  • oh i totally agree that you should stay away from the army, but its very easy for us to sit here on our computers and bitch about soldiers, at least support them if you don't care about the mission.

  • znkrharris i do support the troops, i am going to join the marine corps

  • have fun with that eh

  • i agree 100%.

I support the troops and not the war. The End.

  • because many soldiers didn't sign up with the intention of ever going to war, and are now victims of this administrations policies.

  • Given the history of u.s. military "interventions" and brutal terrorist campaigns it seems like a flimsy argument. So perhaps I should support them for their obvious inability to understand their own history?

I would prefer to support those who are actually involved in promoting equality, freedom and democracy, those in social movements, civil rights campaigns, pro-peace movements, etc...

They may be victims, but they're also complicit regarding those same policies...

  • many of these soldiers didn't know these things. they also were for a large part poor and with few other options. you should support the troops, by bringing them home.

  • You wanna see a country that fucked up the world with brutal interventions? Let's talk about France and England.

  • asmkillr is right, and by the way they knew what they were getting themselves into when they joined, thats why they joined, we have not gone 10 years without being in combat, so when you join the military, assume you will go to war. If we bring the troops home at this point Afghanistan and Iraq will crumble just like Viet Nam, but Liberals don't care about human life now do they?

  • liberals don't care about human life? we're not the ones who started this drain on human life.

  • In terms of damage done, there's really no difference between so-called liberals and conservatives. They should be more accurately veiwed as two sides of the same coin. Clinton's policies toward Iraq were mild by comparison, but still unjust. The u.s. should return Iraq and Afganistan back to the citizenry...now that would be a step toward success...

  • i saw them with tiger army on sunday they kicked ass!

  • awsome song, and i love the video, it was a very nice thing to do

  • What a worthless sack of shit. Fuck people who say "fuck gi's". I have many a-friend in the military who loathe Bush and this joke of a war.

  • yeah show some fucking respect man. Christ im canadian and I still support all the troops. dickhead

  • im with faceish. im canadian too (though i do live in the u.s.) and i support the troops. fuck the war. its one dumbasss bad ass pointless war but the troops r kickass and u gotta support them. show respect. u try putting down ur fucking life!!!

  • I SAW THEM LAST NIGHT WITH TIGER ARMY... UNFUCKINGBELIVABLE... YOU GUYS ARE, IN THE SIMPLEST TERMS, fUCKING ROCK GODSSS!!!

  • Respect to the Troops.

Respect to the best voice from Boston.

  • Dropkick Murphys? More like the Fake Mckenzies. Seriously though they need to change their band name, they can't be dropkick murphys if only two members are the same, unless one of the members was lead singer. Street Dogs, Blood or Whiskey, Flatfoot 56, and the Tossers are all superior to DKM.

  • well its just a matter of opinion isnt.

  • That was an unfinished sentence.

  • Whilst I love the DKM (and Al Barr), I was so happy to see Mike singing in another band. Do Or Die was the best thing they have released, and to have him back in another band was the best news I've heard in the past four years, late commer that I am (not literally).

  • I liked Mike alot better in DKM but this is pretty good too

  • you suck

  • wow, how can a country be better without liberals? I think you need a blend of liberal and conservative. All liberals are are forward thinkers. All conservatives are are steadfast holders. Change is necessary. In all things. It's gotta balance. Why is there such anger?

I realize there is more to conservatism and liberalism than that, but man. Why must everyone blow a gasket?

  • I loved these guys when they opened for Rancid in Dallas back in '06. I was truly impressed and honestly enjoyed their performance more than the headlining band. Hearing this song live gave me chills, my husband is deploying to Iraq and it's good to know musicians out there can appreciate our troops! keep kicking ass guys

  • CURT - I LOVE YOU!!!

    Your gay friend David Hasselhoff!!

  • street dogs are awesome. they sing from the heart unlike alot of bands 2day. anyone who hasnt heard "do or die" cd by dropkick murphys gotta get it. same singer mike from street dogs. legend old school cd. stick together through thick and thin!

  • Fuckin' A right!

  • fuck the war

    come home soon

  • but saddam was not a muslim extremist he was more of a nazi type guy he had links to the nazis through his uncle. but now there is muslim extremists in there

  • we cant just protest and run from any danger. We are stuck there. why cant we just unite and get it over with. People are dying in vain if we dont go in full force and stay there to finish it. Also all the protesting and antiwar is just giving the terrorists motivation becasue they know if they cause more death then eventually we'll just get sick of it and pull out. the last 2 elections (congress and presidential) there was a surge of attacks. y because they are afriad of republicans and unity

  • this war would probably be over if we had just gone in full force and united.

  • fucking awesome song, and i hope i see these guys on monday

  • I got your message and after reading your comment all I have to say is hell yeah im glad someone is on my side

  • i wanst talking bout u i was talking bout Paesl just read his past bggot comments u will see wat i am talking bout

  • Great band. Excellent live act!

  • Because for every soldier dead there are a thousand innocent people caught in a war that is nothing to do with them, not their politics. Yes, I hope that the soldiers get home safely, and I respect them for doing what they think is right, it's George Bush that's the problem, and it's him for putting them into a war which has nothing to do with the well being of America, and which they have nothing to do with.

  • Oh yeah, the fact that wherever America attacks just happens to have huge oil reserves, and that they never gave a damn about Sadam Hussain before, never even came into deciding to go to war. Where are the ceremonies, the silences and the plaques for all the Iraqi civilians that have been killed?

  • hey man hmm last time i checked the wars in iraq are the first wars we have been in where its huge and full of oil and uhh never gave a damn about saddam before have u ever heard on the persian gulf war pal atleast u support the troops but man i fuckin hate treehuggin hippie liberal fucks who hate everything about america love it or leave it

  • Street Dogs rock!

I´m from Germany but i support the Street Dogs and all the other "pro working Class Bands" like the Ducky Boys or the Dropkick Murphys!Let them come home healthy! Fuck Bush...Don´t let the G.I.´s die!!

We covered the song in our Band! S.p.a.N.

  • Yea Mike McColgan was the original lead singer for DKM before leaving to join the Fire department. Do you like the new DKM cds? Sing load sing proud is the last one I really like. Black out is alright but Warriors code is to much like "pop", IMO

  • Summarized,my thoughts are:

1.War isn´t anything good at all, people should live together in peace.

2.Not only soldiers die in wars, and the death of civilians must not be commented as "collateral damage".

3.Ignoring the "oil factor" the war in Iraq was necessary to delete a fascist regime.

4.I´m sad to see that the "punk scene" has shape shifted from a postion saying "fuck war" to "defending our country is great".

But discussing these problems is verey useful.

    Making punk a threat again!

  • Paesl,

i hope you get drafted. and making punk a threat to who? our nostrils? stop ripping off profane existence for your cool guy slogans. i am a soldier, ive never raped, not even close to it, and yes civilian deaths are defined as "collateral damage" sorry if that bothers you. but deal with it. And doing my soldierly duties ive also saved more lives than i could even count or keep track of... something i doubt you could say for yourself.

  • k got 2 things to say 1 as much as u want it peace will never work ppl are crazy and want more power so peace is never gonna happen and 2. defending our country is great without ppl defending this country myself included we would have nothing soo once again SUPPORT THE TROOPS god bless america and love it or leave it

  • Summarized,my thoughts are:

    Making punk a threat again!

  • In every war people are killed,so I´m not taking random events.Ok,not every soldier rapes women during a war.

I respect everyone´s decision to join the army, but what I wanted to say is,that these people have to live with the consequences, meaning they have to deal with opposite positions concernig war, killing people, dying etc. (still I think that fighting for a country is nothing to be proud of).

  • Summarized,my thoughts are:

  • does this have a negative persepective on the war and is this gulf war 1 or 2?

  • i don't think that song is particularly political but i do believe mike is against the war.

  • 2 i believe but do not quote me, and yes he does agree with the war but not bush i think i dunno ill ask him tomorrow

  • Yo! what the hell is CONUS? Is it his hometown or sumthin? reply to this if ya know... cheers

  • CONUS is Pentagon-speak for "Contiguous US," which basically means the continental USA.

  • Just saying I thnk its kool i go on tour with them sometimes

  • SEMPER FI=)

  • He really doesnt have any kids he only got married a short tim ago a few years

  • You guy probably wont believe me but the lead singer is my cousin. Mike McCouglin Fromer singer of the dropkick murpheys and married his wife in a 30 minute steeple in California. His dad donald is a cancer survior and is a great unclw of mine

  • best.fucking.song.ever.

  • you suck.

  • yeah true mate, their just following orders, i been against this war for a long time now, i think its gone a little bit far now, but still, not the soldiers to blame only the assholes that gave them the orders.

  • A really good song, makes you realize what a idiot bush is.

  • This song is fucking great, if someone says something else, PLEASE go and die instantly.

  • Pro G.I. Support the men in Iraq,NOT the politics!!!

    Greetz from Germany!

  • Fucking bad ass Vid!

  • i am living in japan,now.

& i hang out with a lot of navy guy who they are younger than me..& they left to iraq...

this song&video made me cry a lot..

    great song

  • Cowplunk dont you get the lyrics??

    its allabout the military..

  • I was just wondering, does anyone know if this is an official Street Dogs video, or a fan-produced video? I think I've seen the concert footage elsewhere on Youtube. I'm curious what the story is behind the video. Where do the military pictures come from?

  • mike served in iraq, thats where the pics came from

  • Umm actually no he didnt

Served in the gulf war actually

So dont post dumb shit like that

  • i saw this video and damn near cried.

  • Respect for what? For killing people? For raping women?

  • i love this song because she talking about the suffering of soldiers and they fight for survive

  • yes yes dees treet dogs op groezrock

    consider me there

  • der moet staan:

dees jaar street dogs op groezrock

  • the lyrics are crap...all this "get back safely" drivel...if they wanna live safely, they shouldn´t go to the army, they can even choose to do so!fuck that...

  • Do you really think that kids 17-19 that join the military know what they are getting themselves into. And at least they have the courage to put themselves into a situation like that to fight for a country that gives you the right to plagiarize the young men and women that defend it. If they dont do it then who will? You?

  • Fighting for a country is nothing to be proud of.

  • shut the HELL up, you freakin ignorant dicklicker

  • wow u fucking prick ass motha fucka both my dad and step bro died in the war and you say they died for nothing here is some advice... go get a gun and fucking shoot yourself better yet go do something that doesnt involve just thinking bout your fucking self.

  • who were you talking to cause I didnt say they died for nothing I mean Im in the military and so was my dad and grandfather and I just want to say your dad and step brother were doing a good thing defending this country and died with honor and Im sorry for your loses man I really am

  • fuck u thats all i have to say is FUCK U

  • dope

  • brilliant group....brilliant song...brilliant video
