why no arc missile ever...he must get the proc. what is the rotation usually ...

im new to pvp.. i am arcane ...i do POM sheep, then if caster i do spsteal then my AB,barrage,lance (if proc missile)...after than i just run around doing instangs until i get aother proc for missile. and if they get close i freeze and blink to do rotation again. keeping the counterspell on always . any suggestions?

Think a bit, he is Arcane 51/20 frost i guess so he is using ice lance to slow enemies firstly.

When i have two options : slightly increased [Arcane Blast unhasted 3 sec casting time ]damage or mobility, i would rather choose the second one.

dude.. that's why fire IS for lvling.. aggro like 10 mobs, use Blast Wave, Dragon's Breath and you get instant Flame Strike when you use those abilities (which is also an AoE).. you crit a lot even with a green gear since your talent are providing you with more than 20% crit chance in fire spells.. frost is for pvp because it focuses on 1 target while crowd controlling the other 1..also has a 50%+ crit chance to FROZEN targets..i'm playing a mage for such a long-long time and i know it perfectly

To be honest, fire vs frost is matter of what you like while leveling. they both have it's ups and downs. Normally you don't level by pulling large groups of mobs, that kind of grinding does not come close to doing quests. This video isn't really good, the arena fights is allmost embarrasing due to the lack of skill from the opponents.. Frost is my prefered playstyle and I've never really lost to an arcane mage, so I'd dare to say its better in pvp

poor.. i mean really.. all that he's doing is arcane barrage which has only 3 sec cd.. and that's it! -.-' where's fun in playing arcane? blizz fucked up by putting so strong spell instant, with low manacost and with only 3 sec cd.. i always use deep frost for pvp and i really enjoy my playing.. frost is a real pvp spec (ofc only true old school mages use that cuz they're pro, not some newbie arcane), and arcane is more for raiding, like fire mostly for lvling

Find your way of playing the game. Arcane Blast is excellent casting for arcane mages, so I would say yes.

I think it depends on what youre playing. I would use fireball in pve as it puts a dot and will possibly come up crit (about 7k), in pvp I always use AB, it puts the extra damage buff on you. (I also cast AB many times in arenas if i have time, if for eg the other oponent is dead or sheep or if they are melee and im far away enough ;)

clearcasting/presence of mind gives extra crit chance. If you think this is fair, combined with 10 sec IMMUNITY and mage armor which completely fucks up other casters, think again. Insane resistance + insane burst + shields + immunity + 50% less duration on magic effects. fair?

I was Frost pre-wotlk then it came out so i specced arcane liked it but i thought there was no skill...so went back to frost, was good in pvp imo. Switchd back to arcane again recently, can't tell much difference from before cept I have an instant pyroblast as well as arcane barrage.

My cousins a holy priest and i do 2v2 with him sometimes, and 2v2 with a balance druid, what specs best for this do u think in Arena =]
