Rustler VXL may be fast but is comes with a high center of gravity making turning at a decent speed very difficult without flipping and ripping off the body. It also is very light in the front which causes insane wheelies that will flip the car. A wheelie bar and nose weights help, but it is best used for non technical track racing and high speed runs. ( I own and race nitro rustler 3.3, Rustler vxl, FT TC4 w/ castle brushless, tower terror) my 0.02 cents.
@xcrunner103 well it is possible to make a gas car faster but when you talk about same scale cars electric is faster. like the revo vs the e-revo. electric is 30 mph faster.

when changeing idle let it warm up then turn screw out quarter turns till it stops moveing when wheels are off the floor

eh yo how did you get it tuned so good like that the revo.....if your good at tuning them can u turn all your needles closed and then tell me how much times u opened it up so i can set mines correctly
Why has this video been viewed over 1 million times. There are so many cool traxxas videos on you tube, but no this one has the most views out of any traxxas video.
you need to decide which is gonna be better for you, anybody can tell you what to get and you could listen and either get lucky and like your decision or you could regret it, just think about where your gonna be driving it if its gonne be the ball field/ backyard or where ever you can find i would suggest the tmaxx, if you have access to a track and might want to try and race i would try the revo, but in the end its your choice.
to answer your question about either a revo or a tmaxx i agree with what was posted earlier, i have also had both and the revo has an amazing suspension but you wont get big air with it unless you have a huge kicker to get it up there they fly flat straight and true and my revo always went where i pointed it, the tmaxx on the other hand is a true blooded beater it jumps high and big and looks good doing it because of its stiffer springy suspension it is a little harder to control at high speeds
to each his own electric is not just for the people with out knowledge of nitro, electric is alot cleaner, quiet, and most times will get just as much air as a nitro if set up properly, and most times cost more than nitro due to wanting faster and faster motors and batteries to feed the motors, i am a electric, nitro, and gasoline guy but i prefer elec if i am staying home at my apartment, gas and nitro everywhere else.
@Lamborghini505 i have the 2.5. and have been around and drivin the 3.3. i would recomend the 2.5 because it has a well amount of power and durable. the 3.3 has the same everything except engine so it will get torn up eisier.
This is so awesome, you can pretend or imagine that you are in this car and do dangerous stuff, but even if it hits the floor badly you won't be hurt! I wan one of these so......
the t-maxx parts for the most part aren't very expencive. i go to rcplanet for most of mine but if they dont have it or you dont like the price ebay it.

I have a first generation t maxx pro.15. I put an os 18 tm on it, and I havent found a t-maxx, revo, or savage that could even get close to it. The only thing that spanks it is my jato 3.3.

whooo hooo!!!! i got a slash 4x4 about 2 weeks ago and i havent broken anything except for the crappy lexan body. and i bash it hardddd, like jumping 15-20 feet to flat at top speed. its THE most DURABLE car out of all then ones ive had. havent had a savage though... at least not till next week.... ;)

@FisherPykel ....a good cheap car would be the t-maxx3.3 mine has nevr broken or had problems had it for a yr.. and a half..cost about $350.00 trust me thats a good deal
