Hi, please forgive our pissed-off friends. It's a natural question, there are lots of USB guitar processors which can record voice to a PC,

If you don't want to record voice on a PC, you can use the Digitech GNX3000 "workstation"

I think there's also a posibility to record vocals with the V-AMP3, which comes with an audio interface, but you also need a microphone and a microphone preamp.

Good to know. I'm on a budget so I was hoping to combine the guitar and vocal effects into one unit. Mainly to be used for guitar but used vocally just for some simple effects. I was planning on just plugging the mic into the v-amp then into a usb interface then into the computer. This should work right?

Yes, but I think you might also need a microphone preamp (especially if you use a condenser microphone, the V-AMP cannot supply phantom power). Also, the quality would not be very good as its sample rate is 31Khz (which means that the highest frequency it can process is 15.5 Khz, human hearing goes up to 20Khz, and there are some natural harmonics from human voice ranging that high). If you don't own a V-AMP or V-AMP2, buy the V-AMP 3, it is supplied with an USB interface and recording software.

This thing is amazing for a hundred bucks and produces plenty of good usable sounds. Great buy.

Also own a POD, Spider II and Roland Micro Cube. I like the V-Amp for headphone practice and because it has a line input. A buddy also uses one live and it works fine. Anyone on the playing .level of say Macalpine or Eric Johnson should sound just fine through a V-Amp.

I love V-Amp series! but I think V-amp2 with its unfortunate 31.250 KHZ sample rate lack a serious amount of the sound definition and dinamic response of actual generation of simulators like LINE6 POD XT, M-Audio Black Box and others.. otherwise it could be PERFECT, like his big brother V-Amp Pro which boast up to 24bits/96 KHZ!. That is the reason many V-amp2 owners conclude that something is missing, after long spends of tweak time. Sad...well, I still love mine.
