I like it. I used to do this stuff all the time with my cassettes by twisting the tape. I was experimenting with this sortof thing all the time. I loved what I would hear listening to songs in reverse.
@MystroMusicMan I used to do the same thing. I also made tape loops that would pass through 2 recorders/players, with one device recording and the other playing. So the sound would appear in cycles, accumulating into a cacophony.
Try listening to something by John cage, or a symphony named a short ride in a fast MACHINE, by John Adams.

I like it. I used to do this stuff all the time with my cassettes by twisting the tape. I was experimenting with this sortof thing all the time. I loved what I would hear listening to songs in reverse.

@MystroMusicMan I used to do the same thing. I also made tape loops that would pass through 2 recorders/players, with one device recording and the other playing. So the sound would appear in cycles, accumulating into a cacophony.
Try listening to something by John cage, or a symphony named a short ride in a fast MACHINE, by John Adams.

@AccidentalLyrics Oh yeah, tape loops. I've never done it that way like a lot of people did. I used "pause" to obtain the loops i wanted and then to provide my own 'remixes' of songs like this one, that I liked.
I'll have to check the John cage out then!
