If only the band could bring Tarja back, under her guidance, Annette could be great, when the two voices were mixed, it worked. But alone, Annette shouldn't sing the old songs.

She just doesn't have the same emotion. -The two could make a great team I think. Otherwise, Annette should at least stick to the songs written for her voice. Not Tarja's

I will admit that Tarja is a better singer for this genre, and I still listen to hear solo stuff, but I still love Anette and her singing to death. No reason to hate her just because she's new/different. Sure Nightwish isn't the same, but I still like it just as much as when Tarja was with them. Can't wait for their new album!

This is not a live duet. Anette often sings a tad lower than Tarja because she can't hit the very high notes, which is why it sounds like harmony. However, i like it very much, the maker of this vid did a very good job matching up the two live preformances and getting them in time with one another.

Personally Tarja is the best, and damage that has been transferred from this group. But I know she was considering leaving the group but she wanted to do it his way. Pienso q no hay remplazo para tarja, y q las críticas huebiesen sido peor si una soprano liryco la hubiese remplazado en lugar de Anette, pues Tarja tiene un timbre de voz muy característico y diferente al d otras sopranos. Anette herself said the for her singing, she inspired herdelf from bacnds such as Within Temptation, which is a symphonic metal/rock band. Personally, I think the the two singers are on an equal standing, both having their strong points and weak points. Anette cannot sing like Tarja and that is not she is trying to do anyways. She does it her way, still trying to conserve Nightwish style when Tarja WAS THERE and ykw, it works wonderfully.

I hate to say it, but this video kind of shows that there should be no overlap between old Nightwish songs and new Nightwish. The song style changed completely. I love Annette on the new Nightwish songs and I doubt Tarja could have pulled off their somewhat more rock/metal style, but Tarja just blows Annette away on the old symphonic metal stylings. Sorry Annette. I like her, but Tarja's voice on those old songs, especially Ever Dream, is too legendary to be matched.
