  • very pretty.... never heard this song before....and you two sing so clean and fresh!! lovely!!

  • Love the version by Keith Greene but your redition adds new flavor to it. Awesome job, guys, but maybe you could turn up the volume a little so we can really enjoy your song? But again, good job.

  • @LadyAlf57 Thank you for your kind words. We just used the camera we had at the time, so the volume is what it is. I find when I turn the volume up on my speakers, though, it's fairly loud.

  • Double like...Thanx for the song.

  • Alos since when is it ok for a man to wear a skirt Scottish skirt wearing people are practicing a strange transgendered transvestite tradition those people aren't saved people!

  • @ProphecyofNewLight I would not like this to degenerate into an argument, but let me just ask you a simple question. Do you believe Jesus and His disciples wore pants?

  • @guitmartiman they did wear briches under their robes they weren't queer. Besides they weren't American either. Women did wear dresses then they would not wear briches. Besides maybe God cannot help you God gives his Holy Ghost to them that obey him.....

  • @ProphecyofNewLight if jesus wore pants, im sure they would have been quite holy...

I think focusing on a persons traditional attire (kilt for example) is short minded. The argument for unholy practices is about the intention of ones appearance. If a man feels the need to wear worldly female attire for the intended purpose of rebelling against his god given sex, then he disrespects gods decision to make him that way.

  • And a Scotsman doesn't wear a kilt to represent himself as a female, he wears it to represent his heritage of the days where intricate garment manufacture was not possible.

It's like saying, if you wear flippers when you swim you are a heathen because you're trying to be a fish! But the reality is there is a practical and reasonable purpose for both, isn't there.

  • "God, please save those who literallise, manipulate and misrepresent your word. Help them to hold their judgement and control their tongues so that those who know in their hearts what your word is, and was, and will be, may continue to serve you with their hearts full of love.

As we watch the world disobey your word please help these hypocrites to heed your teachings and help them not to live a life of hate, discrimination and judgement but a life of love and compassion by example. Amen."

  • @shanetube1984

    Thank You!!!

  • Mr. Prophet, May I be the first to tell you that you are wrong. Deuteronomy 22:5 says this, " A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this." In other words, what is made for a man, only a man should wear. What is made for a woman, only a woman should wear. Scripture can be easily misinterpreted. Here's a verse for ya

  • 1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." God Bless.

  • @Cowboy4Jesus1 MISQUOTATION

  • @ProphecyofNewLight How about this...We could debate until the return of Jesus Christ. You could speak for him until that time too, but if you have the guts to speak for him as you have been, you are a bigger man than I am. Let's let God speak for himself. We are to fulfill the great commission to go out and preach the gospel but we aren't called to go out and tell people that God cannot help them. Think about that. I'm sure guitmartiman is a great man of God and knows his Bible.

  • Good song is that your wife? How long have you been professing Christ? How long have you been reading your bible and growing in prayer unto God? God should deal with your about your appearel and the way your wife dresses modestly as the bible says. These words will only matter to somone who has been washed in the blood of the lamb and wants a spiritual relationship with God and wants to be a vessel fo the kingdom of heaven. What I am about to say may offend but pray.... women are to wear dresses

  • @ProphecyofNewLight No offense taken. For many years Laurie wore only dresses, but there are many situations where a dress is less modest then slacks. Also, we were never able to find the Bible text that says women must only wear dresses. BTW, in Bible times, apparently men wore clothes very similar to what might be considered a dress today, but indeed were clothes that pertained to a man. Why is it not possible for women today to wear slacks that pertain to women?

  • @guitmartiman Not buying that sir. The bible clearly teaches a women is not to wear which pertains to a man. Dueteronomy 22:5 (I ony go there because you know your bible more and are more accountable and are not an unsaved unregenerate man right? Also those dresses are not right to wear. A dress is specifically for a women as with a skirt pants are unisex and an abomination unto the Lord. We are to be an example.50 years ago in America women pants was shamed! Even amongst sinners.

  • @ProphecyofNewLight Well, I guess you don't have to buy it. Personally, I would not wear pants that were designed for a woman. I might, however, wear a kilt if I were a member a Scottish or Irish Military bagpipe band.

  • @guitmartiman It's ok like most people you don't really love God that much you probably watch television and Hollywood movies and read fiction stories and the like as well that's fine god's knows your heart and in the end it will be manifest you can play with man as if you have the love of God but god knows the inward parts and he will expose it on the last day...too bad it will be too late. She probably wears earrings and has tatoos too right? I mean why not your OSAS aren't you? ERRR! 2 John 8

  • Brother Jerry, as a matter of fact, I do not subscribe to the doctrine of once saved, always saved. And no, my wife does not wear earrings, nor does she have any tattoos. I am merely trying to point out to you something you probably haven't given much thought to. Namely, men in Bible times probably did not wear pants like we wear today. They most likely wore clothing that would seem to us modern westerners more like women's clothes today.

  • However, women did wear clothes that wee specifically designed for women, and men wore clothes designed for men. I have no problem with women who wear pants which were designed for women. If that's a problem for you, I'm sorry. I don't know that I can help you.

  • Wow, definitely a very peppy confession of adultery and murder. ;-) Almost sounds as if David's dancing. This feels like a praise/worship song more than a petition of an evil blood-guilty heart. For anyone truly feeling guilt, the newer version is better. I really like the melody though. -C

  • This is a joyous version.....very nice......it's what is in YourHeart

  • @reliablebow Yes, and I think not inappropriate considering that God answered his prayer, but I just uploaded an alternative arrangement for those who are sensitive to this version being a little too upbeat.

  • @reliablebow Yes, I saw it, and it was very nice, but , well, perhaps that is why God gives all sorts of emotions....Jesus Lives!....I tend to see the darkness around alot, so when I hear a song of great Joy like this version, it warms my heart:)

  • Great work.GOD bless u

  • this is a cry out of a sinner's heart towards God, where in tears he realises the magnitude of his sins and his wrongdoing. By no means is this psalm ment to be recited in a happy, carefree way as it looses all meaning and it makes no sense anymore. When you read it it gives the image of David crawling trough the desert crying and beating his chest, unfortunately i cannot say that your song has anything to do with the actual meaning of the psalm.

  • @cipslim Then why not just accept if for what it is, a pleasant way of memorizing these powerful verses. I did not write the melody for this song. Keith Green did. One could hardly say that his experience as a Christian was a sham. I have prayed this same prayer in my own life, perhaps not in the same exact way or for the same reason David did, but sincerely and with the utmost gravity nonetheless. I can sing this song in spirit and in truth without it being painful to listen to. YBIC, Jack

  • @guitmartiman dear Jack, how would you feel if i would put your song in a chipmunk voice, add some fat beat to it, and put it in a video with ladies in bikinis? Would it popularize it? Obviously, i'd get 1000 hits a day and it will be memorized. That is the words will be memorized but never the meaning. Of course this is gross exaggeration and i do not accuse you of anything, it's just a concern that i have as this is a desperate cry, not a story or an advice.

  • @cipslim Ok. I'm sorry Keith Green ruined the Psalm for you. I happen to enjoy it, and will probably keep singing this version for a long time to come. The meaning was not lost on me, and you'll note that we weren't smiling joyously while we were singing it, though I think "teach(ing) transgressors Thy ways, and sinners (being) converted unto (God)" is a good and happy thought. This song has been a blessing to millions. Sorry it's not somber or reverent enough for you.

  • subscribed in the name of Jesus

  • This is very nice & I appreciate what you're doing. However, I do love Keith Green's song, "Create In Me A Clean Heart" most of all. Thank you & praise God!

  • I listen to this all the time- beautiful rendition of this beautiful Psalm

  • wow! i love the way you picked the song. :)

  • Its a beautiful Psalm, but some of the words are strictly old covenant . I used to get depressed singing this.

Now we can rejoice that He will never cast us from His presence and He won't take His Holy spirit from us either.

  • @Dano853 Malachi 3:6 "For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob."

Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

James 1:17 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."

  • @guitmartiman No offence intended brother. Your references are correct. Praise God He doesn't change. Praise God His covenant with us did.

  • Wrote a song based on psalm 51. Check it out. Good job.

  • VERY GOOD. GOD BLESS.

  • create in me a clean heart love the verse i want to remember da verse bu too long 4 me its easier to remember versers from songs thats how i remember some anywayz love the song it is touching :):):):)):):)::):)

  • Hey guitmartiman,

I found your site through the keith green songs . I like it and remember Keith through his concerts and his vinal records. I still have the cheat books that I have been working on for years probably about 500 or so in simple chords. I sing now at the nursing home in my neck of the woods, Kentucky. I do all the old praise songs and hymns and some contemporary stuff. God bless you and keep on singing

    Rev Steven Potts

  • Another good one from the both of you!!

    ♫ Derek J. Holak ♫

  • wow, thank you!

  • May God continue to inspire you and give you the grace to continue to minister in the lives of His children. That was a good one.

  • hahahhaah. wow is great. nice voice.

  • My daughter and I just studied Psalm 51 and I said, "You know, there is an old song that goes with it." I started singing it, and she thought I was just making it up, thank you for posting this so she knows it's real!

  • Our pleasure!

  • This is one of my favorite Psalms. Thanks so much for sharing. Keep up the good work, and keep sharing God's word through song. God bless you.

  • Yeah, I couldn't believe it the first time I heard this song. It was a really great song right out of scripture! I know most of Psalm 51 by heart and almost always recite it as part of my prayers in my morning devotions. I'm glad this song ministers to you too!

  • What are the chords that you are using in this song?? I love the verses and how you got them form the Bible and found a way to put them in the song...I LOVE IT!! To God be all the Glory!!

  • The chords I used are very simply E, A and B7. Although we did add a few verses that were not included in the original version of this song, the music was actually composed by Keith Green. We do have quite a few other scripture songs her on YT for which we did compose the music, though along with ones composed by friends. This just happens to be my favorite one by Keith Green. I'm so glad it ministered to you! Blessings on you!

  • Thank you very Much!! May the Lord continue to bless you and your wife's singing!! I have never heard it sung this way before and I have completely falling in Love with it...and I listen to it over and over...and it touches my heart over and over!! Praise the Lord!! Take Care and God Bless!!

  • Jesus is coming soon!! And we need that clean heart so much! thanks for posting

  • Absolutely! I couldn't possibly agree more!

  • Thank you friends in Jesus Christ! Our Jehovah God lives! All praises, glory and thanks be to HIM!!!

  • Very good.

    Brother Don

  • Glad you liked it! Blessings on you!

  • Amen!

  • he is an empty shell

    - shell-shocked luciferian soul

    he is an empty shell

    - drained and sealed

    he is an empty shell

    - penetrating cold

    he is an empty shell

    - empty luciferian soul

    ... the Emperor protects!

  • Commtent addressed to SatanIsMyOnlyGod

  • I think you are doing a great service to make a recording of all the wonderful scripture songs that I was raised on. Your voices are quite pleasant as well. The only thing I might add is that your faces should show the joy that your realtionship with Jesus and his word means to you. Keep up the good work and God Bless you

  • God bless you Jack & Marti. please continue to sing for God & He will never forsake you. You will continue to enjoy His love forever. Amen.

  • This is a prime example of what music should sound like, and be. Your harmony is just perfect, and I really appreciate the time you spend posting. 5 stars, fav, and a new sub. THANKS FOR THIS ONE, YOUR FRIEND, C.W.

  • I've been looking for people who can put The Psalms into singable form (for group singing rather than simply performance). Good to see what you do. Thanks.

  • if you sing a song like this, to praise the only God...it's not a shame to smile!

but how you sing it that's great.

  • Thank you. We have made a conscious effort in our later videos to smile more when we sing. Blessings on you. The nature of this song is rather serious though, and not necessarily a smiley song.

  • I agree... SMILE! ;0D God bless you though, very pretty song, and thank you for showing the chords. ;)

  • very nicly done. Priase The LORD HE IS SO GOOD. THANK YOU FOR A BLESSING TO MY DAY.

    Paul,

  • I look forward to singing this song and many more while basking in streets of gold with you all, Ronald Reagan, Keith Green, my buddy Carlos and Dr Matthew G Swaggerty. Keep it up you all sound great. Dont worry about the critics, I know your spirit is smiling inside, otherwise you can sing the song, it would be impossible. God Bless you brother and sister in Christ. Mark No not the gospel guy, just me, Mark Richard Williams, Little guy who is still learning to cast his net.

  • Nice video! Great duet and nice voices I really like it. Congratulation! God Bless You!

  • i like this melody the best because it sonuds more responsorial pslamish, which is what i always use it for.

  • ummmm...u sang the song differently...because that song have another melody XD but both of em are fine ^_^ i love it God Bless

  • it sounds great! but you both look like you are going to die or boredom or something! sorry, I don't mean to offend you or be rude or anything... I also have my own rendition of this psalm if you want to check it out... though it doesn't sound as great as this and my guitar playing leaves much to be desired

  • No offense taken! I can assure you we are not bored! Perhaps the concentration for making a video of this song without mistakes is a factor. And for some reason Laurie has never been able to smile when she sings!

  • Jack & Laurie nice singing , thanks

  • Thank you for sharing I enjoyed watching.

  • Thanks Manny. Come again anytime! Blessings on you!

  • I was delighted - but not surprised - to see this magnificent & terrific dedication to our Lord. Nicely done. May God Bless You and Yours. Kang47

  • sounds great ..you are also a very good rythm player.

  • Nice! I'd like to hear it with a full band and maybe a fiddle in there for a bluegrass-gospel sound. ;)

  • Beautiful Message once again!

  • Nice job here!

  • God bless you! Thank for watching.

  • WOW! Keith Green is one of my favorite artists of all time!! That was great!! Prodigal Son Suite of course is one of my all time favorites and one that hits close to home! Excellent as always Jack!! I received your CD today and want it as a gift for my father. I am slower thatn you ... so at least I know where to send it as I can't find ANYTHING on my comp anymore! lol Way too much stuff!!

  • Yeah, it's funny, I never really knew much about Keith Green until I watched a documentary about him here on YouTube! I mean, I'd heard of him, but I never really knew much about him. I've learned to appreciate his music more recently.

I know what you mean about finding stuff on your computer. I use the search function a lot!

  • Great song. I remember this song from many years ago as a teenager.

  • Wow, I wasn't so privileged as a teenager. I didn't learn it until I was over thirty!

  • Thank you for your video. I did enjoy the song. God is so big. Bigger than any problem we have. We should never put Him in a box and say He can only deal with this problem... but we should give it to Him. He is so big..... yet He is small enough to live in our hearts. What an Awesome Awesome God we serve. Thanks for sharing. God bless your journey. Patty

  • Thanks Patty! I really appreciate your comment. I've noticed that God is really big into paradoxes. He absolutely detests sin, but loves us sinners, I'm strong when I am weak, I can see better when I realize how blind I really am, etc. Blessings on you!

  • Great that you guys did a christian song, to sing a song to give Glory to God :-), but I kinda missed the emotion on the facial expression, but besides that, nice job on the singing!

  • Hmmm...I wonder what kind of faciel expression David had when he wrote this Psalm? Seems to me he was probably in a very serious or even broken hearted state if emotion...I don't know, but I appreciate your feedback. I like to be real. I'll try to do better.

  • I agree with stealth that was so good, my feet was tapping away, It has a really lovely vibe to it. & with the wonderful lyrics.. well it goes without saying its 5 stars in my book. pls more! :-)

  • Praise the Lord! I'm glad it ministered to you!

  • laurie and jack you guys are somthing else! im so glad to find you guys as friends! 5 stars

  • The feeling is mutual! Thanks for your friendship!

  • Ah another lovely song from you =) Loved it!

  • I'm so glad you did. Thanks for watching!

  • such a rich song lyrically. I've done this song for years. it's a message that we need to be reminded - especially as we lead worship. God - create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. something I long for everyday. good job on this guys! may the Lord continue to bless your ministry! oh... LOVE the Taylor!!!

  • Thanks, Joe. I think all of us who consider ourselves Christians ought to pray this prayer with all sincerity and gravity, knowing the we are to work out what God works in (see Phil. 2:12-13).

    Yeah, it's an 2000 810-B. I really like it.

  • Nice Sabbath music!
