I'm thinking about buying an M14, M17 maybe even an M18, I'm only 16 so ill also be using it for a lot of school work as well as gaming. Now just wondering I've heard the M18, M17 crash a lot, just would like to know is this true. and if you can I would like to know which alien laptop you think is the best?
@NewGamer101 That's not possible, unless you did black market. Buying ALL the components (starting from nothing) required to play every game with no limitations, will require at leaset 300 bucks. AT LEAST. 1 missing component will eventually turn out into a crash of your system. Good luck with your "80 bucks worth system".
my cousin says he has never had a serious issue with his m17x that he couldnt fix, had it for year, since money isnt a problem for me ill choose this over an Asus when really, if they both perform great (Im maxing out the specs) then the specs wouldnt matter much to me, then the only thing left is features and looks which i prefer the alienware in that case
alien ware are good but your better off making a custom one on a site and they take forever to boot and you should do more of a review on what it can handle not how "pretty" it is for gods sake and you should test more consumer laptops and desktops as alienware might be to expensive for some people and i know your in the us and they are cheaper there but back in blighty* they are £1500 and up

Both the Razer Blade and Alienware M17x are great laptops, both are ment for gaming and work. The difference is that the Razer blade is thinner and more expensive while the Alienware is bulkier but less expensive.

@TheChosenGamerz The numbers are pretty much the screen size of the laptop.. for example the m17 has a 17 inch screen. The bigger laptops can also add more powerful things in it..but makes it more heavy
M17X Vs M15X ?? i all i konw is that the 15x is lighter,smaller body and has smaller screen. + i think it has a quad core i7 920 not the I7 2720 that the m17x has?
It really all depends on what you're using it for, If you're going to do more traveling go with the M15X, If you are going to use it as a portable desktop go with the M17X. As far as capabilities go, both are more than enough for anything you would be doing. Overall the M17X is more powerful, And the M15X is more portable.

Do I really need: Alienware m17x, Sager Clevo 7200, Battalion 101, Eurocom or even Prostar (custom on the cheap) when G73 seem to handle "most" intensive games?

@sbmsuperman you dont compare macs to pc's or laptops. the macs generally have better cpu's and perform better at multi-media and 3D modelling programs whereas pc's perform better at gaming among other things. Neither are 'faster'. Its just that one is designed to perform better for a specific task/function blah blah blah.

I personally would spend more money on a PC than I would a car just because I really don't care what kind of car I have as long as I like it and it drives good. Not to mention if I bought a car like that it would be ruined from the weather here lol XD

Do I really need: Alienware m17x, Sager Clevo 7200, Battalion 101, Eurocom or even Prostar (custom on the cheap) when G73 seem to handle "most" intensive games?
BTW any other laptop models that is above G73 spec?
Crysis (GPU intensive), GTA4 (CPU intensive), BF-BC2 (CPU & GPU intensive)
Also, it the most EXPENSIVE laptop costing 6K USD easily i.e. if you up all your Alienware options and majority of it option seem overpriced even compared to Sager

@sbmsuperman you dont compare macs to pc's or laptops. the macs generally have better cpu's and perform better at multi-media and 3D modelling programs whereas pc's perform better at gaming among other things. Neither are 'faster'. Its just that one is designed to perform better for a specific task/function blah blah blah.

@sbmsuperman I know this is a late reply... Apple products are overprices pieces of junk technology... you ca easily get twice the power and speed with the amount you spend on it... If you asked me to get either Apple or Alienware... Hands down Alienware wins in nearly everything...

I am going to be a new college student, not sure what I'm going into but graphics design is a strong possibility. I love games and I don't want to have to bring my desktop to my dorm. I have federal grant money, and I need a laptop for college. Would this be a good laptop for me? I can get it for Dell's retail price minus a huge discount from my buddy that works for Dell.
