I loved the Marryanne who dunnit?! storyline!!! Did'nt think that the Jeffey/Marah was sooooooo hot! It was NOT!!! Loved Danny and Manny storyline. Even, though Jeffery made life hell for them!!! I miss the "old" gl
Not to be all negative. It was a good Manny year mostly until Danny follows Jeffery into that room at the Beacon. (Stupid Jeffery got what he deserved in the finale wrap up.) Dan Cosgrove was an excellent choice to become Bill Lewis. Gush was featured highly onscreen and I also enjoyed Mallet's return in another excellent recast. Dinah returned and started a very long path to redemption. Cozzie was getting heated up & I could stop caring about Ross after he back-stabbed Danny.
2004 marked the beginning of the deep dark days of the best forgotten Michelle amnesia storyline, so not one of my favorite years. Basically any scene that had Marina in from 2004 on was ff worthy. I had forgotten Father Ray let his hair get that shaggy. Yikes! Not a good look for him. Carrie Carruthers rather stupidly re-wrote history. Ed left again. Tattoo Tony was moaning over Eden for some reason & then his"big sister" Michelle BLECCH. Not my favorite year, but good summary anyway.
It sure is! I was wondering if anyone would notice. This was before he showed up on All My Children. I always found it funny that he played a Spaulding but then came on as a lewis. I personally think he makes a better Spaulding. What do you think?
Ahhh, that is nice The1JAYJAY! Thank you for the compliment. My goal is to do this for the fans who enjoyed the show as much as I do. I'm glad you like them:)
wow!!! does anyone have the Maryanne Caruthers storyline, it looks so dark. I started watching Guiding Light from 2005 episodes, so i completely missed it
i remember the MA caruthers s/l. it was the 2nd yr i began watching GL so it was kinda confusing for me. It's weird watchng jeffrey with marah on the video then watching him with reva now. look how much younger Tina Sloan, Justin Deas, Robert Newman etc were, they all look so different now. ty for the trip down memory lane.
I agree... I loved the MA Caruthers story line, and I miss the characters involved in it. I miss Balex Buzz and Alexandra as a couple, and seeing all the really good characters. This video takes me back to some really good plot lines. I love Alexandra, and I thought when they made her a drug dealer that it was ridiculous, but I'd take that plot line over anything they are writing now. At least then I would actually get to see Marj Dusay on the show again. Thanks for the video!! It was great!!
I totally agree. I remember when the MA Caruthers story line was something everyone complained about. I personally liked it even though there were tons of plot holes. I bet ya anyone would take that story compared to anything on the show right now.
Hmmm. I thank the poster for sharing this video...What i found intresting is that the person who created this video SHOULD BE working for GL..The editing, the pacing, the music..etc..is making these stories sizzle..At the time these plots aired, I didn't like them at all..The pacing was dull and the plots were awful.

Is that Jeff Branson playing Alan in the flashbacks of the Maryanne Carruthers storyline? Sure looks like it!

Branson is also a cop in a couple of Manny scenes when one of them, not sure which is being investigated for murder.

I think 2004 was probably one of the last great years of GL. I kind of wish GL would go back to the greatness it once was.

Love the video. It would have been cool though to have music from 2004 throughout the video instead of music from now.

Another master piece.
I may not have cared for many of the stories back then but at least Guiding Light was something I could enjoy.

I agree. The editing is beautiful. And it all goes so perfectly with the music. :)
