Everything the public expects has been offered up and voted down by republicans, WHY? because they want a drill now drill anywhere bill included. While Big oil is refusing to drill on the 68 million acres both land and sea already approved. You would have to be one stupid son of a bitch not to see this agenda coming. You can spot one of these Hank Hill remarks a mile away. BTW, as part of the anine republican showboating some stupid bitch from Tennessee is carrying a gas can. WTF!!!

So you think drilling where there isn't oil is a good idea? You're a liberal. How can the republicans vote something down when they are a minority?

It's real simple. Even the mention of drilling brings the price of crude down and therefore gas. Just imagine what actually drilling would do. That's first thing. The next is, after taking that load off, we can then work on bringing alternative energies to parity with oil and coal. Once wind, hydroelectric, natural gas and solar on par with oil the price will plummet because now we have the freedom to chose. Think of it like deregulating Ma Bell. More choices = better prices.

It's cute how the House Repubs actually think "drill here drill now" will really roll gas prices back below $3, or even $3.50, hell even $3.75. Or do they? Are they smarter than that & just pandering? We're drunk on oil and jonesing for a fix, you think the House would vote with its brains? Good thing we have some designated drivers sober enough to see the short-term impulse is not in our long-term interest.

Nancy Pelosi should be charged with treason along with Harry Reid. These two people can't stand the fact that we're winning in Iraq and that the surge worked great. I am now proud to stand up as a Republican again today. I had my doubts about the party and how spineless they had become. Today was a shot in the arm. I was thrilled to see that my Congressman, Tom Price, was one of the leaders of this revolt.....it actually inspired me to write to him and Mike Pence.  Now the President needs to make Congress come back and vote on the energy bill. There is hope for the Republicans after all!
