  • great cover!! I'm really glad you uploaded the tablature for this as well, I was planning on learning this song after getting back into the series recently, you really sped my process up with the tabs thank you so much!!!

  • Great, nice song, the series is great too, nice job playing it

  • Dude youre fucking amazing

  • Amazing, I never thought I'd find Solid Snake playing the guitar so well...

  • @mflore7 haahahhaha

  • Hey, it's real cool to hear someone recognizing it as beautiful, even having never seen the show.

Check out some of the other pieces from this anime,

you'll find they are all very well composed and translatable onto any instrument, if you're inclined.

Thanks for the show! Thumbs up, OLD WHITE MAN!

  • beautiful

  • Oh? I didn't know that guitar players used vibrato as well xD This is very nice. You're one heck of a cool person :D I don't know many adults who watch anime (if you do watch anime... Seems like it since I see so many anime songs posted up haha) and play these compositions :D Very nice job as well.

  • This song is relaxing and fun to hear, but when you play it sounds stressfull

don't rush, give each note his time. you know how to play it just work on the rhythm

  • you dont give yourself enough credit, i look through a fair amount of your videos, you are a great classical guitarist, iv learned a lot from the videos youve put up along with the tabs, thank you so much for doing this, keep doing what your doing

  • one hell of an anime and allmost ever song from .hack//sign is great the artist they picked for the music to the show is just awesome. All of .hack is worth your time and a watch they have .hack//sign, .hack//key of twilight ,.hack//roots enjoy.

  • and the other is Kinjirareta Asobi those 2 issues I will be honest I found the problem that the youtube user wrote that did not go up the tabs can not find on the web I find it hard to find them if not too much trouble to teacher thinks you can make composing would greatly appreciate it.

  • = O understand difficult challenge believed they might interpret those sounds in a slightly more say they have a similar tone but with a soft touch who can appreciate the theme I think it's complicated as you say emm one last favor would come out these last 2 theme songs for acoustic singer's voice on the guitar these are the issues Tori no uta

  • hi teacher I was wondering if you could help me in music is that I'm looking to grab a long time the song is called Bloody Rabbit consisting of (Yuki Kajiura) teacher would greatly appreciate it =) if you give me some sheet music or tablature. if this case can not be called Parallel Hearts music composed by the group FictionJunction appreciate it very much for your attention I hope your answers.

    =)

  • @AllenWalkerInnocence I listened to both songs you mention and became a little confused. Are you asking me to try and arrange fingerstyle guitar instrumental versions of these songs or do you want me to create standard sheet music of the songs with lyrics? Neither song sounds like a good candidate for a guitar instrumental without drastically changing the character of the music. They both sound a little disco. It would be a difficult challenge.

  • @oldwhtman Wow! You weren't joking! I liked the sound of the song in the video and thought it didn't sound too bad, but it really surprises you. This one's gonna take a while....

  • u have to keep playing PLZZ :D, its wonderful!! :)

  • This is really nice Mike! Thanks for sharing! =D

  • Never give up! I really like your covers! I listen to them very often!

  • As always you find a way to surprise us with good pieces of works thx alot

  • I totally loved that -- that was a good summing up: a short piece with lots of personality. There were some nice surprises in there, some little Baroque touches. A nice composition, and well played .. thanks :-)

  • Great Mike.

    I didn't see/hear any fluffs.

There is, clearly, a whole world of refreshing music out there in cyberspace.

Congrats for bringing it to our attention.

    Keep well squire,

    Paul

  • @Gangly1 Hello, Paul. Yes, I've become quite fond of these Anime composers. Short, elegant little tunes with a lot of personality. As for the fluffs (I would call them flubs), they can be heard more clearly when Guinness is not used to cloud the senses . . . but you're better off sticking with the Guinness.

  • OMG. You play it soooo nicely! Great job! Heeeey, can I request? How about playing "Jean to Leo" from D.Gray-Man? That one's really nice too!

Oh and by the way, marry me. =))

  • Amazing, I love this song!

  • it sounds a million dollars :)

  • dammmm

    i love youre postings =D

I always try to learn most of youre new posted song imediatly =P

And like others already said DONT give up EVER =D

just to good. And an inspirition to keep me playing. Because you also post youre tabs =D. That is really generous off you.

well thanks for the songs you post =D

    Greetz

  • wonderful cover i am a fan of .hack series and i really liked your cover

  • It's not hard to notice that you like sad melodies. So, I have a suggestion. It's a very sad melody, and there are no (good) tabs for it. The name is Enclosure (a.k.a. "Sniper Wolf dies"), from the game Metal Gear Solid.

nemesis21h made a great arrangement, but we'll never see him post the tabs. It's been 2 years since he uploaded the video.

I hope you'll at least listen to it. Until then, I'm learning Fake Wings :-) I didn't notice a big difference with your playing and the original. :-D

  • wow u actually did the song i requested and u preformed it very well it sound like how the anime plays it thank u for playing this it sounds beautiful :D

  • Well done Mike ! you really have that smooth touch with this kind of music.

  • I am always a big fan of you, sir! WOnderful job on all your covers! ;D

  • so beautiful, I like it very much, all thumbs up!!!

  • I wasn't expecting nothing from you but perfectness!! Wonderfull as always =D

    Lovely played "Old" White Man.

  • Great Job ! !

    It's amazing !

  • I hope just not yet is a long ways away cause your amazing. In both your anime/game music and your classic rock tunes.

I was raised on classic rock tunes, and always came to love anime music so your channels like two birds with one stone for me.

  • Dear friend,

What a nice piece! And I really think you played it very good. It is difficult at some places.

    What does .hack/SIGN mean?

    Please don't EVER give up!

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo Hello. Peo. I have no idea what .hack/SIGN means. It's the name of a Japanese animation series. I was hoping to do a better job on this one, but as you observed, there are a couple of tricky moves in this arrangement. They're hard to do smoothly . . . especially with the camera watching.

  • @oldwhtman It is also a video game series.

  • @oldwhtman you sure did a hell-u-v-a better job playing it then me lol

  • @AndanteLargo hello xD hack/sign is an japanee anime that describe the situation of a character named tsukasa trapped on a virtual world we know them as online games very interesting and as you can see with very good music worth a watch

  • @GrimReaperKazuya

    Thank you! Appreciated!

    Per-Olov

  • (Y)

  • Excellent!

  • Very well done, beautiful tone.

  • I always enjoy your playing...Its wonderfull

  • It is wonderfull ! Keep going !

  • @qSAMUELp Thanks.

  • I discovered this music with this video.

I prefer that to the original.

  • @Hakkar6993 Thank you. I'm not sure where I heard this myself, but it left an impression.

  • One of my all time favorite songs. The show itself is just okay, but the music is what really sells a lot of the more emotional scenes. That song is one of those cases.

Amazing job, as always. I was actually curious is you would ever play this one, guess I lucked out~!

    *~t3h C.

  • @ReikoSpazz Thanks. Do you suppose there are other good tunes from this Anime worth looking into?

  • @oldwhtman I know you're not asking me, but maybe I'm allowed to answer :)

One anime there's definitely worth to check out due to the soundtrack is Eureka Seven. Really has awesome songs.

And as allways great arrangement, I really enjoy your vids.

  • @oldwhtman

Nothing really leaps to mind right away, the entire OST is amazing.

Though there are a few stand outs from the project as a whole: "Grandpa's Violin" and "Mai" from the sister anime .Hack//Liminality are both simply stunning. If you ever get the notion, give the OSTs a listen. The .Hack Project as an entity had some of the best music for an anime/game and the music still holds up.

  • A really good tune :)

I also really like that you post a tune even though its from anime/gaming.. Alot of people (atleast what I think) don't post it due to its from something "childish"

  • @nisselassen Well, I won't express an opinion about the maturity level of Anime movies in general, but I certainly wouldn't characterize the music as childish.

  • @oldwhtman I love the way you think. Many people criticize me for listening to soundtracks of movies and games, yet it's your exact mentality that keeps me glued to them. Thank you for reassuring my faith in humanity.

  • @TacoV3 I apologize, if I accidentally reassured your faith in humanity. It was not my intention to do so. My faith has pretty much dissipated. But you're right about anime music. Some people can't recognize great music, if it's performed in a context they don't expect. Like the concert violinist playing in the subway. Most people just ignore him.

  • @oldwhtman Its ok most most anime fans are aware of how silly most anime/Japanese entertainment is.

  • @Ashitaka255 according to your age and especially the culture, things that may seem silly may not be and vise versa.

People in China don't understand why Americans love buffs guy in underwear and tights ex)superman. To them it's extremely gay and silly, just as anime can be very silly to foreigners. On the other hand, they love transformers because it fits in perfectly with their culture and taste.

  • @dhL17 I have watched/read quite a few anime/manga and without a doubt the vast majority are silly either because of how it looks or because of the story, of course there are people like Myazaki who make absolute masterpieces but in the end its not just a matter of culture.

I enjoy a lot of the stuff that comes out of Japan and China but at the same time I know some of the and worse than B movies.

PS: we in west also get that superman can be seen as being totally gay and weird.

  • @Ashitaka255 lol yeah, like I said. According to your culture or age, your ability to relate to things of other culture fluctuate b/c of your life experiences. It's not uncommon at all to see young ambitious boys and shy girls in japan act just like the characters in an anime. Just as you can relate to and enjoy shows that appeal to people of your age and culture, people in Japan personally relate to the stories in anime b/c the ideology is very similar.

Silly to you and me, real to them. =)
