just been watching a video on the ibanz jem505 and must say this guitar sounds 110% better can't say much for the jem505 the fret buzz you get of that guitar is aweful, this Fender Delux has a sweeter sound and hardly if not no fret buzz a true quality about it guitar. if i was to spend my money on any guitar or guitars for me Gibson and Fender beats all other brands of guitar hands down. this is my personal opinion.
I almost bought a Fender American Select from GC until I picked it up and thought "wow, this is a heavy Fender". It turns out that this particular Fender has a Mahogany body which gives it a darker Les Paul like tone. I walked out with a Deluxe instead.
I have this guitar in Olympic White it's awesome. I love the black hardware on this one but I'm not digging that Tungsten color, Daphne would have been totally sick.
I had one of these, traded it in for some recording equipment at Guitar Center. I didn't like the sound and it was just sitting. Took a nice little loss on the trade too.
I bought this exact guitar a few months ago and the sound versatility is amazing. It can sustain any sound from traditional blues licks to heavy metal leads and everything in between. Hands down the best guitar purchase I ever made. Worth every dollar.
Thanks man! I appreciate demos where the guitar does the talking. I am on the fence about this guitar and the American special strat HSS that runs a bit less in price. What would you advice I get? I've tried both and really like them.
@pieroandaluz I'd say it depends if you need the refinements that the Deluxe strat has. Some prefer the purist traditional style strat like the Special, some will prefer the new features. They are both good quality instruments at different price points, I personally like the quiet noiseless pickups and the 2 point trem for stability and it would make a great all round guitar, especially for recording, but I also like the traditional old skool look too, especially for a live gig. xx
@NevadaMusicUK on this 2-Point Tremolo do you recommend three springs cause i got a squire deluxe that only came with two springs and thinking that it might need a third ?
it shouldn't be too hard to replace the pickups if you want to know any thing about it ask Chris Liepe at jamplay, this exact model (except the pickups are replaced) is his main guitar.
would it be hard to replace the pickups for something hotter like a duncan sh-6 or a super distortion in this, cause of all the push-pull knobs and other variations?
is the modern C neck shape similar to the '#1b' neck shape of G&L which lists as 0.790" at 1st fret and 0.910 at 12th???

What does pushing on the volume nob do?
Zelmquist 3 months ago
@Zelmquist I think it changes the sound on the bridge (humbucker) pickup, from a humbucker sound to a Single coil

can you explain what the S-1 switching system does in a bit more detail? or point me to a site than can? much appreciated :)
sblopez08 7 months ago
@sblopez08
when using the middle+bridge, or the middle + neck, it switches from series to parallel
hence, you will have double the output and it creates a sort of humbuckeresque tone
Guitarvirtuoso666 7 months ago
@Guitarvirtuoso666 so almost like a humbucking it then... making it much fatter?
sblopez08 7 months ago
@sblopez08
it's very peculiar, but indeed much fatter, and twice as loud/gainy as if you were using a single pickup or the two pickups in the normal way:)
you could use it as a volume/gain boost for your solo's I think
Guitarvirtuoso666 7 months ago
@Guitarvirtuoso666 oh ok ok yea so then it does what i thought it does... thanks for the help man :) much appreciated
