hey i have same model of this tahoe 97 with short hooker headers and straight pipes with tow muffler flowmaster and K&N filter and sport plugs and sparks so what is the best setting can i apply it?
@XxDudley331xX A performance exhaust system and a high flow air filter should help you squeeze out a few extra ponies. You could also try getting a custom dyno tune after you get all these bolt-on mods. The custom tune will help your engine utilize the mods you added to make more power.
@XxDudley331xX Sorry, Jet doesn't make a part number for your vehicle. Hypertech does have one for the 2002 Impala, but it only works on the 3.8L, not the 3.4L.
Hey I owm an 07 Tahoe with a borla exhaust, closed box k&n intake and the diablo predator tune installed but I'd like to make it a lot louder...wat do u recommend? Thanks
@FireChi9954 The price on a Jet programmer can vary depending on your vehicle. To see the most current pricing, and to see if this fits your vehicle, click the first link in the video description. If the Jet does not fit your vehicle, chances are that we have another one that does. :)
@GM60degreeV6 No, these programmers provide consistent power gains for as long as they are installed on the vehicle. The programming usually gets a little better over the first week, as the ECU learns the new tune. We have Tons of customer reviews, I recommend reading through them, everyone has been very happy. Click the 1st link in the video description to see the Jet Chip.
Pro Tip: if you select your vehicle on our site, vehicle-specific reviews will sort to the top
I'm with chevydude1989 I have a 91 been looking into a chip for a lil more boost in power have Tbi spacer ,pod spacer, longtube headers, edelbrock Tbi intake, some other bolt ons too, i have 5spd manual don't know if that changes chip
@MrKAMF The part number for your vehicle is 15024. Using regular unleaded, you should get about 9 HP and 6 FT-LB of torque. But if you start feeding the engine with premium, you can expect around 17 HP and 20 FT-LB of torque.
And many people see an increase in MPG when adding a power programmer, but it really comes down to how you drive. A heavy foot never increases fuel economy. :)
i gutted my cats on my 98 silverado and i keep blowing a po420 code and i was wondering if one of these would delete the code for good not just reset the code
@MrKAMF Sorry, but power programmers only reset the code. If your ECU thinks the engine has a problem (i.e. catalytic failure), then the trouble code will pop back up again.
i have a 98 sierra with the vortec 454 what kind of gains did you get with this truck and what do you think mine would get i have aftermarket intake, exhaust, throttle body spacer, and 180 thermostate
@hotroder105 The Jet Performance Programmer will add +15HP and +13 Ft-Lbs of torque for your vehicle. This is not taking into account the other mods you have installed, so you will probably see even higher power numbers. Hope that helps, please give us a call if you have any other questions, or if you'd like to place an order: 800.544.8778
i have a 2011 sierra and im looking to get better gas mileage. Im getting around 16 and thats not just horrible but i would like to get better. What would you suggest?
@StuningRedneck The typical mods that improve performance usually improve MPGs too: an air filter, air intake, exhaust and a performance chip can often net +2-4 MPG. This is highly dependent on how you drive... if you've got a heavy foot, you probably won't see any improvement in fuel economy :)
You can also try making some aerodynamic improvements: tonneau covers, lowering springs, etc. Take a look at our "Gas Saving Products" department, its at the top of the navigation bar on our site.
Has anyone ran the stage 2 on one of these early model chevys. I have a 1990 and was thinking about purchasing the chip for it. Just need a little reassurance before i buy
@viperocks17 If you'd like to know if this fits your vehicle, just click the first link in the video description (directly underneath the video) and then use the vehicle selector on AutoAnything . com
@aaabball415 As always, it depends on how you drive. If you practice hypermiling techniques and keep the revs low, you should see some improvement. But if you plant a lead foot on the pedal, fuel economy will go down. :)
@bluechonez Huh, not sure what happened, but I just reposted it to your channel. If for some reason it doesn't show up again, please send me a direct message.
@GMCownsall Hard to say without knowing what company is claiming those types of power gains... the 8100 is a beast, but a gain of 100+ HP would be huge from a tuner on a naturally aspirated, stock engine.
We carry the biggest name brands in the industry, and most of our tuners for the GM 8100 V8 will give 20-35+ HP, with similar torque gains.
@inomycars The part number for your vehicle is 15024. Using regular unleaded, you should get about 9 HP and 6 FT-LB of torque. But if you start feeding the engine with premium, you can expect around 17 HP and 20 FT-LB of torque.
@lamanesity On *most* naturally aspirated engines, a performance chip can give you an additional 10-20 horsepower. On turbocharged or supercharged engines, the gain can be much, much more. Some turbo diesel engines see a gain of over 100 horsepower and 150 ft-lbs of torque!
@phomer1 We don't have the Jet Chip for a 94 C/K 1500, but depending on your engine, we do have a Venom 400 chip that should work. Give us a call: 800-544-8778
@lamanesity JET part # 29105 will work with 1991 350 with automatic (700r4) computer located behind glove box, real easy install. also make adjustable fuel pressure regs, pulleys, tstat, etc for that vehicle
@HUNEILICKIT4U The directions in the video above are for a Jet chip. If you have a DiabloSport power programmer, please refer to the instructions that came with your tuner.
@popopopopopo8 Yes, we do have the Jet programmers for the 98' Ford Ranger's with the 3-liter, both automatic and manual transmissions. In the text below the video, click the first link and select your vehicle to see pricing and options.
As for installation; the Jet chip is very easy to install and the directions in the video above apply for most vehicles. And every programmer comes with vehicle specific instructions. Hope that helps.
