John Carpenter's The Thing and it's 2011 prequel are both excellent. I don't know what "on the cusp" means, especially after a review that pretty much sounded point for point like a rave and full acknowledgement that it was effective. This is the first I've seen of Catherine's reviews, chosen at random after her dad mentioned her reviews on KPCS.

Great review! I agree that a good horror movie is more about the suspense and less about the gore. As for Halloween costumes I think my mind is torn between Slave Leia and Classic Leia, either one is a winner. The Clockwork Orange costumes were brilliant and definately something unexpected, well done.

So, score is something I usually acknowledge. This one, however, just seemed like your typical spooky background music.
