  • Nice job guys!

This is the (only) way to start off learning how to become a drummer.

I was a student of Mr. Sturtze from 1974-1981 with the Washington Park Jr. Drum Corps. in Meriden, Connecticut.

  • I bet you know Chuck Bach and Charlie Smith.

  • There was the leader Mr. Charles Smith and he he had a son with the same name, correct? I ask only becasue I was only....... 16 when I left the Corps. I want to say that the son was not really involved that much at the time. I think more involved when I left, no sure and can not remember. Gee, that was almost 30 years ago now. Bach does not ring a bell right now.

  • Yea 30 Years where did the time go? I was in Yalesville Jr's and taught by Hugh Quigley. I did get some lessons from Earl Sturtz when he agreed to teach the drum line at the Tracy Volunteer Fire House where I was a member and moonlighted with their Drum Corps. Charlie Smith was in Lancraft for a while.

  • Chuck Bach was involved with Washington Park up till recently. He was an "Appearance and Color guard" judge for the CF&DA.

  • cool but i hate the sound of the snares!

  • Thats cool, I saw jeff propserie do a clinic with the old war drums (don't know the name). He played down fall of paris on one.

  • Visitors always welcome 62 Clark Ave North Haven practices at 7:00 pm till 10:00 Pm every Thursday

  • Very Cool! Can't wait to see you guys at the Deep River Muster! Sean
