1. Yes the ZR1 beat this lap time. BUT for a car that's heavier than the ZR1 and has roughly 200 less ponies, it came pretty damn close.
2. This isn't the most up to date lap time for this car the best so far i think was 7:29.something... 3 seconds from the ZR1 and 2 from the Pagani Zonda. :) personally for the price, i think this is the best car you can buy today. It's seriously a work of art. the ZR1 is great and all, but its rear wheel drive and doesn't take corners all too well...
well if you can handle the beast it actually does have much higher limits than a base gt-r, even around a slower skidpad where the understeer of the gt-r isnt factored the zr1 still gets an amazing 015 g edge. take off the run-flats and youve got a whole new car. btw the updated laps a 7:27.56 for the gt-r (they are just trashong that thing pointlessly) and 7:24.44 for the pagani the zr1 can go faster but they dont trash their car around a nordschleife everyday. all of them brilliant cars.
those are stock tires, you can tell by the tread, the skyline comes with nitrogen filled low profile tires. Race tires are almost always 100% solid with no tread. Nurburgrings are always rated from rolling start. idk about shotty timing, what was the clock jumping or something? lol that was an official run, if they put anything different on the car then it doesnt count as a factory car run. :-P
Flying start? Check. Shoddy timing? Check. Race tires? Check. Bad run on Nissan's part, but it gave them publicity for sure. It's a nice car, I love skylines, but this run's full of errors.
i expected it to be quick nissan tends to buld a gd skyline and when its released it kicks ass but another one dosent come for like another 6 years though but at least the spend time making a gd car
