  • Someone needs to tell Mack to take it down a notch with the intensity and the over dramatization. It's a television show, not a summer blockbuster.

  • You wanna tell me that "Seal" guy shoots through the windshield of a car without eye protection?

  • @VinceFull Michael Mann must have directed this episode.

  • @VinceFull Sorry not Michael Mann. I meant Michael Bay

  • Don't get me wrong, the fact that LWRC converts their M-16s to a short stroke gas piston system is great, and it greatly increases reliability, but this comes at the cost of increased recoil. You can clearly see that their weapons kick harder than a baseline M-16. But still less than an AK-47, I'm sure, since the 6.8x43mm round weighs less than the 7.62x39mm. And have you seen the wounding profile of those things? Their tremendous, especially with OTM bullets.

  • Mack needs to realise that he is *not* the Terminator.

And I don't think it's an accident that the "terroists" look like al-Qaeda banditos.

  • I checked LWRC's site and they sell the PSD. Looks like Im going to grow up to be a body guard.

  • you know these little dramatizations offer no more info at all, then make great TV.

I propose we use terminally Ill patients, so we can see what really does happen .

    Im only kidding

  • Will this gun be the new primary assult rifle instead of the M4?

  • this must be fake becouse how would they get close up of the terrorists

  • @TheFlapAttack lol its a simulation everyone nows that duhh

  • this dude trys too hard...

  • Why don't they just use an AK-47 lol?

  • @simbrack1195 I ts soviet and not fancy enough

  • @simbrack1195 Because the AK is veiwed as the "enemy weapon"

  • I really love how we complain about the 5.56 bullet does nothing but even when there's a great gun like this one or any other it's not standard issue for the U.S military

  • @BrooklynBiggis

Probably to save money and weight. In fact it's easier to produce and deliver fewer different caliber cartridges to front line troops.

  • So 6.8 fails to fragment...GREAT, that's exactly what you DON'T want.

Plus, a rifle cartridge in anything but a 16" or longer barrel is wasted. This show sometimes pisses me off to no end with it's continual bullshitting.

  • @ihaterobbie123 Few rounds, especially those used in militaries, are *designed* to fragment or tumble. It's an added benefit if they do, but it's usually not a design goal. 5.56's fragmentation is not very reliable, by the way--depends on range and velocity.

For ship-boarding, for example, an SBR might be desirable: high enough velocity to pierce body armor but also compact. It's only wasted if the intended range is, say, >200 yds.

  • @DDTea And with that intermediate round, it really gives the operator the advantage of controlability and faster follow-up shots...no wait.

556 will cause limbs to effectivly explode within 200m, you don't need anything larger. All this bullshit about stopping power advantage is exactly as I called it, it's like arguing between .45ACP and 9mm, it doesn't matter how much power you have if you miss.

Anyway, 6.5 grendel is superior to 6.8 so I couldn't give less of a shit.

  • @ihaterobbie123 You're right: "caliber wars" are pretty silly, for the most part. 5.56x45 is a good round but there are some fundamental limitations to it: e.g., it's easily deflected by foliage and wind due to its low mass. Limb shots tend not to be fatal. However, with a heavy round, the trauma to say, the leg & femoral artery can be very fatal. Every single cartridge represents a compromise to best meet some intended purpose, though--can't have everything.

  • @ihaterobbie123 Actually, the grendel guys cheated on their tests. Those scores were obtained with a longer barreled weapon than what the SPC was using! But they both beat the 5.56mm nato.

  • @TheJamesrocket No they didn't, both have been tested out of a 24" barrel and the 6.5 is superior.

Before lying try thinking about wether or not you'll be found out.

  • what about sand? Does it still work under sand like the hk416? im dying to know this!!!!!! i cant find any vids of it under sand or mud. help!!!!!

  • i said sound instead of sand lol i fail

  • what about sound? Does it still work under sand like the hk416? im dying to know this!!!!!! i cant find any vids of it under sand or mud. help!!!!!!

  • fart

  • this should be the main assault rifle for the us

  • @alex080297 m4 is still effective

  • what's the fire rate?

  • i don't know why i have the feeling that this guy is always bragging in his program that he i sthe strongest and the best and knows very well about weapons !!!

  • how can i download this video, can you give some advise?

  • which is better psd or knights armourment pdw

  • @dtho100 read reviews, torture tests, accuracy ratings, and check out the features to see that for yourself. everyone's opinion will be different

  • @CarlMinez the beowolf has an smg round so it doesn't have the same range and the 6.8 round is sharper and has therefor better penetration. The m6a2 is also more reliable. The Beowolf is an m4 with another caliber.

  • Wait? What advantage does this rifle have over the .50 beowulf firing rifle from the last episode?

And if i were to make a game which one of these should I add?

  • @CarlMinez I'm pretty sure that is for standard infantry, do they have a .50 for riflemen?, or is it sniper?

  • @Fallout3Follower

Now its more of a carbine actually. Firing a custom made version of the 50 cal designed for rifles. Youll probably be able to find the video if you search for it

  • @CarlMinez Yeah I found it right after posing this. It seems alright, but just seems like a niche role that doesn't need to be filled. It's pretty cool though.

  • Isn't it funny how everything he reviews is the best weapon ever. :) Then again, he's an ex-Navy SEAL, not an actor. And this is a good weapon.

  • @LemmeLieHere yeah well i'm more of a fan of the ACR and the HK416. but i'm pretty sure LWRC stole this system from HK. cuz the 416 has nearly the exact same system.

  • @RigelSystem217905 They do all use a gas piston and rotating bolt, but these systems have been around a while. I doubt they 'stole' it from the HK416. All of these rifles are meant to work on the M4/M16 platform, using many parts in common. That's the only way they'll get the US government contracts. So they all have fairly limited design possibilities.

I am a fan of H&K, having used the MP5; but the HK416 only comes in 5.56mm, which I have disliked for years. The M6A2 comes in 6.8mm.

  • 1:38 u notice he only fires 1 round!?

y not fire a few or put it on auto and have at it?

  • Well the beautiful thing about that... unless of course the even bigger caliber of the AK gets you down first...

  • lmao at 4:00 it sounds like shes saying "oh fuck"

  • I want one now!! Its so cute.

  • 2:39 looks like the most awkward moment.. some old lady sitting next to a psychopath..

  • This guy always talks like a child molester...

  • If there was a zombie apocalypse, this would be my weapon of choice.

  • is there any difference between this rifle and the rec7,besides barrel length and hand guard.

  • @torogami2 M468 has slightly more modularity and range, other than that no.

  • @torogami2 Yeah, about 2000 dollars lol.

  • Comment removed

  • If the protectee is really in danger, the windows are bullet resistant meaning you wouldn't really want to shoot into the windows. Drive through the ambush. Problem solved. If the vehicle goes down pull the trail along side and crossload the people and leave it behind. That would seem to make sense.

  • Awesome

  • does lwrc have a civilian version or that

  • @MrINVADER727 yes its called the M6A series. Dont get the 6.5/6.8 model, the ammo is hard to find and expensive, your better off with the 5.56. Unless you shoot at people in body armor everyday, there isnt any point to 6.5/6.8 rounds. The piston is much better than the shitty old DI system. They are expensive though, i paid $2000 for mine

  • If I'm ever dumped behind enemy lines, I want an ACR on my back. Those damn things could survive a nuke....

  • @gubgub24 yeh it was supposed to be given out to afew special forces units but i think they stopped making it due to a lawsuit about the ambidextrous mag release that H&K made on their xm8's. it might come back i hope so it's supposed to be the best assault rifle ever made.

  • @marineman410410 Bushmaster teamed with Magpul to make a civilian ACR, but I have to admit, it doesn't quite seem up to par with the original design.

  • A double tap from a 5.56 would take care of just about everything at less than 300 yards in my opinion.

  • @danster3461 if you listen to the soldiers who shoot it they'd tell you otherwise.

  • @marineman410410 well im no expert but it all depends on the situation.

  • @danster3461 6.5 would be the way to go. 700 yard round! what kinda situation were you thinking of?

  • @marineman410410 A situation in which body armor was being used .

  • @danster3461 than i'd take the 6.5 grendal

  • Lol he always says "well" before every sentence lol

  • alot of talk about the ak-47 it used to be the best assault rifle but the m4 can now shoot just about anything 5.56/ 6.8 Grendel even 12.7mm .50 caliber Beowulf plus if u take care of it guess what ... it doesn't jam it comes with all sorts of optics and barrel lengths 4 cqc or long range targets the ak is the best gun for jungle combat or other harsh environments but for everything else a well and appropriately dressed m4 can handle just about anything an assault rifle should be used for

  • @psycosis100 yeh but the direct impingement prevents you from going over 15,000 rounds or more with out cleaning it and you can't dunk di guns in mud and sand and shoot them after you come back up. i like that option. but will always stick by m4 platforms.

  • you know. there's something called a headshot?

  • @superninjaboyx

Yeah, it's possible, though if you're under fire, hitting the largest target is the easiest object to shoot at. When your adrenaline rushes, your motor skills deteriorate, making shooting at smaller targets much harder.

  • @superninjaboyx you know, the 5.56 doesnt always kill with a head shot.

  • amazing weapon, and awesome caliber!

  • IN YOUR FACE!

  • the old fart survived yaaay!!!

  • this guy is such a poser

  • I want to see that gun lay buried in mud for 3 months, put under an tank and still fire at a range of 400 meters. I know the AK-47 can survive that and still inflict lethal shots but american weapons, i don't know.

  • @solomonchernishov Americans dont need guns that need to be buried in mud or ultra reliable because they can get the time for their troops to clean their rifles couple of times a day. but what many dont get is that many countries during wartime couldnt have constant air-superiority or change troops in frontlines and for those countries the akm/ak-74 is great.

  • @SuperFinnish the thing is that your american weapon can let you down at the most needed moment of your life when it's a matter of life and death for you. also who knows when it can jam on you.

  • this weapon kinda fills the gap between h&k416 5.56mm and the h&k417 7.62mm, still being an h&k sort of :)

  • @kenty41 if you've seen someone do the exact same thing with a standard m4 you'll see why that's a big deal

  • M855 will penetrate auto glass and remain intact. I've seen people put rounds through auto glass windshield to rear window in a straight line.

  • @manoftin2 completely off topic dude we were talking about the firing-straight-after-taking-out-of-water test and the fact that an m4 will explode and this rifle apparently wont

  • My comment was about the video not the discussion here you may have been having. It's really simple there, the drain holes get larger and now the water can leave the operating system. The M4 was designed to be dumped in mud with the magazine in and dustcover closed and to work afterward, the small drainage holes probably help. The over the beach test is totally different and related to a very small segment of military use. Really insignificant to most users.

  • 556 won't be history cause the magpul masada still shoots it pretty good

  • @y2jshit yeah, but keep in mind that the Masada is still multi-calibur too, so it can fire other bullets too.

  • Nice gun. the problem with a short 8 inch barrel is reduced range and muzzle velocity (stopping power) and he did only say it was accurate to 200 meters, whereas the m16, m4 and SA80A2 can go out to 300 - 400 meters, which can be an advantage in rural areas (such as where the staged ambush took place)

  • cool, it has the gas-piston system that h&k invitented for the hk416!

  • @FoolFosten piston's been around for ages- first assault rifle made was piston, and the ak 47

  • @gammaclipper LMFAO AHAHAHAHA THATS FUNNY SHIT I ALMOST PISSED MY SELF LMFAO

  • wow i want one

  • Tonight on Future Weapons I, a former Navy SEAL, will whisper menacingly at a camera while holding a cheap M-16 clone of questionable value chambered in a proprietary cartridge. Then I will shoot cardboard, paper, and/or gel targets painted brown to symbolize terrorism because all terrorists are brownish in color.

  • Is it bad that I was hoping "VIP Judy" would die?

  • Dang it why is the Army getting all the weapons instead of the USMC? Let me guess, funding...am i right or no? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh by the way, the lucky Army is getting more weapons by December, probably Christmas.

  • cant stand his voice

  • why does this guy always wisper

  • @obendyhato than it looks cooler

  • Its so cute!! I want a PSD.

  • 3:34 Whoa he just Bill Clitoned that lady.

  • 1:33 LMFAO did it just jam?!? It looks like he was expecting more shots to come out, then just had to bs his way through it...

Great piston design on paper anyway.

  • still 7.62 rules.... :)

  • this is a HK wanna be cant fuck with the 416

  • @scream2death666 THE HK 416 IS SHIT and its old and it was just a wast of time and money the only thing it can bet is the m4 and thats it my facts to support this the US army did a test on four rifles and the m4 was the worst and guess what the hk 416 only just beat it! an LWRC rifle can own a 416 any day of the week in any mission im just saying the any LWRC rifle>then the hk 416 hands down!

  • @enzo12ify1 In that test, M4 was the worst with 882 jams. HK416 had 233, and FN SCAR light had 226- roughly tied. Best was the HK XM8, with 127 jams. LWRC M6 wasn't in that test; but from the design I'd guess it's about as reliable as the HK416.

HK 416 isn't shit, but it's under-powered, just like M4. The problem is that the US military has a hard-on for the 5.56x45mm round, because soldiers can carry more ammo. My bet is they go with the HK416.

Me, I'll take an M14 with a good scope.

  • @LemmeLieHere yer i now what was in the test and how they did ur just saying everything i no already but i think the m6 spr will be better then the 416 and other rifles and the m6 spr will be in 556 amo and 6.8 in the test i think the scar was the best

  • @enzo12ify1 HK XM8 was the best. FN SCAR was 2nd.

Whichever weapon they pick to replace the M4/M16, they will choose one that uses the same lower receiver (like LWRC M6 or HK416), and they'll stick with the underpowered 5.56x45mm NATO round. And that is the whole problem.

  • @LemmeLieHere u know the XM8 melts right? made of mostly plastic

  • @TColeTrainT Yeah. They added more heat-resistant plastic, but that is probably one reason the Army dropped it. However, in that dust test we were talking about, it was pretty reliable.

Another possible reason they rejected the XM8 was the fact it wasn't M4/M16 compatible. See my rant below. :)

I just wish the Army would stop using the 5.56mm round, and go to something more powerful. This LWRC M6 looks promising.

  • @enzo12ify1 are you really arguing over that? like really?

  • @ksdarkwolfv1 yer so what im just saying what i think would be really good rifles and carbines the US army needs everything 2 help them im an aussi and we r way better but plz dont get me wrong the US r good allis to make them better they need dragon skin body armor and a good rifle.

  • @scream2death666 I'm sorry but HK only can produce weapons that are over-priced, knock offs. Their R&D team sucks hard! Accuracy over reliability is their motto.

  • bad ass

  • So... Theres like 3 piston style m4 models now? Do we need this many if we are not gonna use them?

  • cant wait til the 556 is history

  • @soia421 I can't wait until the M16 and its "children" are history. It's bad enough to have an assault rifle bullet that can't kill quickly and easily but when someone's spraying you with bullets from an AK47 and their barrel is practically melting off the gun without suffering a failure and yours is dying in the middle of a firefight, it's much worse. I wonder how this gun compares to the FN P90 as a Personal Defense Weapon?

  • @soia421 Same here.

Military has a hard-on for 5.56mm, for the weight. Also, they don't want to scrap all M4/M16's they have in stock. They want something that uses the same lower receiver, because that looks good to an appropriations committee. "See? We're using old parts." But the M16 lower receiver can't handle a magazine with 7.62x51mm rounds. 6.8mm (Like the LWRC M6) is about the biggest. Compatibility is why they chose the M4, and it's why they'll probably pick the HK416.

  • @LemmeLieHere Delta Force is already using the HK416.

  • @TaZ101SAGA Yeah, a couple of Army units and a few SWAT teams around the country. It's good that they're replacing the M4/M16's, because the HK416 is more reliable. But it's still 5.56mm. And the Army has yet to decide on a replacement for the M4. They're "seriously thinking" about the 6.8mm round. How long do they need to think?

  • Nice piece of hardware. Also nice jacket that guy has on, anyone know what it is?

  • wow, it's good to kill with a new gun, ready for African market!

  • @robasci00 LOL

  • "As you can see, after our little demonstration, Judy our protectee, is still alive..." Congratulations! Sometimes Mack kills me!

  • I love it how he kinda chuckles when he talks about adding the Dynamite! 0:37

  • wow, what a surprise...VIP judy survived the staged ambush...

  • it looked hairy for judy at one stage of the stage

  • @PupuTheMonkey LMFAO!

  • @PupuTheMonkey yeah, well it wouldnt look very good for the gun if she died haha

  • @PupuTheMonkey yeah, it would have been so much better if in the end Machowicz had trippled and unintentionally shot the VIP...

  • wow they shot that car to shit. ^_^

  • You want up close man stopers use the .50 Beowulf.

  • @ZULUSNIPER1 yep that is the only answer .50 ae .I have this upper for my ar and ...wow the 6.8 is note worthy also as it's my other upper

  • for close up use .50 anything

  • WOw i thought this weapon couldn't beat the M416's rilability but the is a weapon you want by your side.

  • mack is the fukin shit!

  • accurate up to 200m? Doesn't sound like this will be replacing the m4

  • it has an 8 inch barrel dude

  • that what she said?

  • M4 a pos.

  • @Scamperscamper1 It was specifically designed for body guards or security personnel for when there is an ambush, and ambushes usually take place at point blank range so it is a pretty decent range for it's purpose when you think of it.

  • well performing sniper could take them easily, no details will help you against anti shell ammo

  • judy is fugly

  • Anyone knows aboute anything new from Sweden?

  • cant they just replace the m4 bullet?

  • There's nothing wrong with the round.

Long story short, everyone wants a Swiss Army Rifle.

    It doesn't exist.

  • @Akid777 yeah but then the cartidge won't fit into the gun since the 6.8 is bigger than the 5.56 round.

  • then y dont u just change the magazine size?

  • @Akid777 If you change the magazine size, then the mag won't fit inside the receiver.

  • change the receiver

  • You can't change a receiver just so that you can fire a certain round, mostly because of the different gases of the bullet, and the firepower.

  • A small weapon but packs a heavier punch than the M4. It is good to taking out AK's.

  • My only questoin is if the military wants a big round with good peneration and great accreacy why not just design a 9mm rifle and redesign a bullet for their needs? seriously IU have a 9mm high point Carbine and I love it, accrate, little to no recoil and it last through all kinda of crap, and it has stopping power. Thats just my opinion on it, everyone else could see it diffently.

  • look at the ak round

it may have higher recoil but its gonna start falling to earth much sooner than a smaller, faster round

a 9mm bullet could be useful for a sniper rifle though

  • @ysakoko The lighter bullet would be more-so affected by the wind and that'd make it even worse than the 7.62X39mm round.

They use the 7.62X51mm NATO round for the M14EBR and they use that for long range shooting. As far as I know, it's been doing pretty well so there's nothing wrong to sticking with what works already.

  • @Noodle497 Yeh, but the .308 is a medium range rifle round, used for marksmen or machine gunners. the 6.8 is designed to replace the 5.56, which it very well should. But yes, the 7.62x51mm is a very proven, very predictable round, especially from an EBR frame (uncomfortable but i love it :D). If you want something in that class with more range the only realistic option would be a .338 lapua or a .300 WSM but with those rounds you have more kick, especially with the .300 WSM.

  • @GreatWhite85 I wish I had enough money and I was old enough for a rifle because I've ALWAYS wanted to go target shooting and while learning about guns is fun and all, the best way is first hand experience which I just don't have.

  • @ysakoko not really man. because it weighs more and is moving faster it's going to carry more inertia with it downrange, it holds a trajectory alot better than a 5.56mm round.

Now, a 9mm as a sniper round?!?! It's slow, it won't hold a "path" for shit, and it doesn't penetrate worth a hell.

  • @GreatWhite85 making some 9mm full power round can be good idea .. something between 7.62 and 12.7 (I think that Brits are now using some new 8.9mm sniper rifle)

  • U're a joker, man. A 9mm for sniper rifle? Have u gone nuts?

  • by that mean the caliber

im not stupid enough to use apistol round to snipe... nope

considering a 30 cal is roughly equivalent to 7.62, a 9mm RIFLE round should do well

  • There is a 9mm sniper rifle. The Russian VSS Vintorez, used by Spetsnaz.

  • this is a good gun from wat ive seen i lik it

  • "then all hell breaks loose" -_-

  • What's the difference between the M6A1 and the M6A2?

  • probably imporved gear system, im not sure.
