It was extremely basic compared to the guards i've seen, but nice for elementary schoolers. what was up with those flags though? my guard normally uses 6ft flags, and we use 5 foot ones for parades.
@MsBreann893 it has flags.... and there spining to music.... winterguard.... but i do agree that they should have rifles at least and y should elementary kids have sabers?? im in 8th and i still dont use saber for my guard!!
@sleepalldayful and why is it not color guard. a big part of color guard is useing swing flags. and its cool that these kids get to start so early in school. it may not be as complexe as high school color guard, but its still guard. and you have think about it they are in elemtary school imagine them holding a 6 ft pole. and i think something as hard as rifles or sabors is just a little to complicated for them.....
@36363636ful i would consider this more flag dance or pseudo guard. there are a lot of core concepts not shown in this. understandably they are too young to grasp those concepts. they do make shorter poles that aren't swing flags by the way. my guard used 5 1/2 ft, and i've seen 5ft poles.
Omg if my daughter was a part of an elementary school guard and did that well at such a young age, I would be so proud, I'd cry
