  • The best way to understand who the suffering servant is in Isaiah, is to read Isaiah.

Isaiah 41:8, "But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, seed of Abraham my friend"

Isaiah 44:1 "But hear, now, O Jacob My servant, Israel whom I have chosen!"

Isaiah 44:21 "Remember these things, O Jacob for you, O Israel, are My servant"

Isaiah 49:3 "And he said to me, "You are My servant, Israel in whom I glory."

The suffering servant in Isaiah 52 & 53 is Israel. Not your god.

  • There is no consensus of opinion among the translators of the Christian Bible. The St. James Version indicates that Jesus calls himself the "Son of God." Others show that Jesus referred to himself as the son of man. Surely there could not have such a big confusion in the translation and interpretation? This in itself is an indicator that attempts were made to portray Jesus as God.

  • Quotations given are very vague and unconvincing. To claim that Jesus himself called himself the Son of God is downright false. If you ever noticed Jesus always called himself the son of man. Being of Christian origin I am fully knowledgeable of the Bible, I find it ridiculous that false claims are being made on Jesus' behalf about his being a Messiah and the Son of God. We are all the children of God; so does it make us God?

  • @nel1948son Jesus claimed to be the Son of God. I won't be arguing with you about this. You'll find clear evidence in John 9:35-37 as follows: "Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee."

  • @LOUISRUGG Amen!

  • On Take 5, bad argument, provide evidence rather than appeal to our intelligence as insulted. Yes Jesus did suffer at the cross, but there is so much more that he suffered such as leaving his former glory and becoming a man born of a woman, the fact that he was homeless during his ministry, etc ... Take 6 the Rabbi has the correct context about The Kingdom Of Heaven, it is not of this World's standards, nor of this Earth, however Jesus allowed the Jews who wanted him dead to have their way.

  • Excellent refutation!

  • God bless you, good work for the kingdom.

  • well done
