Too many youngsters took part in this match, it was Carraghers day, not a run out for the reserves...we should have seen people like Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman, Jamie Redknapp, Ian Rush, Sami Hyypia, Didi Hamann, players who actually played with Carragher, and not a bunch of prima donna kids, who already think they are superstars...although it was great to see some of the old guard involved, especially Gary Mac, and it raised over a million for local charities, so it's all good

@Andy93LFC I'm sure the legends could have made it, as we are talking about a player who has clocked up over 600 games for Liverpool...a testimonial is something given in appreciation of the player, a thank you for the service he has given to the club, and surely the most befitting token you could give Carragher would be legends of the club and past team mates turning out, not prima donna 16-19 year olds who will probably never wear the red shirt in a proper game...just my opinion

testimonial match is a match that is played in honour of a player whos been at the club for a period of 10 or 15 or 20 years. the player gets to choose which team to play against, and sides are comprised of legends past and present and current LFC squad members (future legends in the making) and they play a friendly of sorts.

Garcia's goal was class.... plus carra's 2 penalties :) ... best bit was fatty Carsley diving to get a penalty, then picking the ball up, then booting it at Halsey.... before he returned the gesture with a yellow plus a slap round the head... right infront of us on the Kop.. brilliant day.
