You can't go around saying that someone is wrong for liking something; preference can not be dictated by rules or judgments: it is what it is. A combination of unsteady membership, and inactive creation of new music. Running away in 1974, and returning in 1980 really didn't help them become stars. @aboo3413 Well only a few bands like Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Anglagard, Fiery Furnaces, Mars Volta, Spock's Beard, Guapo, Thinking Plague, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Van Der Graaf Generator is still making good music, King Crimson hugely inspired Iron Maiden, and they are getting better and better. Symphony X is amazing. Blind Guardian is awesome! Or just do what I did and search for more prog from the 70's that are even more unknown like Soft Machine, Comus, Jan Dukes De Grey etc.
