It could depend on the network generation. Different protocols operate on different frequencies and with different signaling styles, so they could have different effects.

Lol, i was sitting in the libary and i put my ipod and phone next to each other. I got a phone call (on vibrate) Then i just jumped, as my ipod volume shot up to max! Then it started fluctuating like in your vid... Shameful experience!
I don't think it happens on the newer iPods, it happens on my iPod video (5th Generation) though.

I had something similar with my home sound system, I had no electronics near it, but it started going wack and the volume went to max by itself.
