Nice job! altough i'm missing the jaggedness of the edges, that would really make this effect real, check out this movie title > John Carpenter's The Ward - Opening Credits
i don't know how they achieved that jagged edge effect but i don't think cinema 4d can do this, or any plugins for cinema 4d
I am doing a 30 sec video for my marketing class on strengthened glass. This would be great to use as an intro. I do not know anything about computer animation, may I use this video for my intro? I would, of course, use your name in the credits! Thank you!
this is best glass break ive ever senn. its the closest to real glass and looks so flawless. i come across this video everytime i search for glass breaking
Thanks for all your comments! I really appreciate them!
I am really sorry to say that but there wont be an tutorial for this. At least I haven´t planned it in the future. Its still the same issue. I suck at making tutorials! I hope you understand this!
@SilverwingVFX hey man looks awesome could you plz do a tutorial on this I tried breaking glass for a while but I couldn't get a normal glass look first (it looked already shattered) and on impact my fractures just fall to the ground... :\
looks.. real O.o. very good. but I can't seem to get a good result with glass.. everytime I've tried, it just doesn't look real.. I think me, and a lot of other people, would greatly appreciate it if you shared your expertise with us. :) Please make a tutorial.
this is nicely composed and lighted. anyway, having seen many bullet through glass videos I can say that you can improve by:
adding some particles in the bullet hole, to make it looks like it shatters to dust near the hole.
making the glass break more uneven maybe smaller pieces toward the center and more slowly, considering that this is a high speed video, the glass breaks almost instantly.
@SilverwingVFX NOt to sure what the guy above is talking about... my dude you aced this... d.o.p and all... great job.. if he has seen some better.. i would like to see them.... he should post them.... rather than just coming here and just saying all that... so we have something to compare... but till he does.. you are king at the point.. .
I can´t but I bet that there is someone who can. There´s a cool plugin for 3DS Max called RayFire. They say its easy to do things like this with it! Hope I could help!
I think it´s all about the reflections. If you are doing those right it will look much more realistic. For the glass mat I only used the refraction channel with an IOR of 1.6 (Index of Refraction).
This is absolutely incredible! The depth of field enhancments make it look really sleek and extremely proffessional. I have been looking to do something like this and was wondering if maybe you could post a tutorial or tell me how to do this, it would be much appreciated thanks!!!
Well its possible to do something like that with a person I think. Yu have to use another tecnique then I did because the way I did it is only working for plain surfaces.
Danke...
I dont understand that Question. Do you want to download that Video, the 3D-Data or something else?
The video can be watched here... there is no download Link. The 3D Content isn´t downloadeble also. If you need it for non commercial use you can pm me!
