  • Nice job! altough i'm missing the jaggedness of the edges, that would really make this effect real, check out this movie title > John Carpenter's The Ward - Opening Credits

i don't know how they achieved that jagged edge effect but i don't think cinema 4d can do this, or any plugins for cinema 4d

  • @hendrixx66

Thanks really much. A good critique is worth a lot!

Well don´t say things are not possible with certain software! It´s all a matter of experience and creativity!

That´s the cool thing about it. You never stop learning!

    Cheers Silverwing

  • I am doing a 30 sec video for my marketing class on strengthened glass. This would be great to use as an intro. I do not know anything about computer animation, may I use this video for my intro? I would, of course, use your name in the credits! Thank you!

  • @marcvie9

    Is that question rhetorical?

Its animated and rendered. Fully generated within a computer.

    Cheers Silverwing

  • @SilverwingVFX hey man looks awesome could you plz do a tutorial on this I tried breaking glass for a while but I couldn't get a normal glass look first (it looked already shattered) and on impact my fractures just fall to the ground... :\

    I would really appreciate it

  • That is way too cool, looks real.

  • I must say Im impressed.

If I didnt know better, I may have thought that was a high speed camera recording a real bullet hole being made :)

  • looks.. real O.o. very good. but I can't seem to get a good result with glass.. everytime I've tried, it just doesn't look real.. I think me, and a lot of other people, would greatly appreciate it if you shared your expertise with us. :) Please make a tutorial.

  • WHAT THE FUCK ! THATS SO AWESOME!

  • Impressive!

  • What program did you use for this?

  • @MrCowbell93

Cinema 4D for modeling, lighting, animation and rendering and After Effects for postwork like depth of field and colorgrading.

  • can i use this as part of my music track? all credits go to you..

  • @longluvedrappers

  • @SilverwingVFX How do you make this ? :}

  • @Bears85yemi

Cinema 4D, the explosion modifier, some good lighting and After effects for Depth of field. (Rendered with Z-Depth Pass).

  • oh my god wow excellent work

    this is beautiful

  • OMG. is this awesome.

  • Nice man ;))

  • soundFX !!!!

  • That was awesome!!!

  • Welcome to the Matrix, where the debris hits you before the bullet!

  • TUTORIAL!!!

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

  • post tuorial for galss only in cinema 4d though

  • this is nicely composed and lighted. anyway, having seen many bullet through glass videos I can say that you can improve by:

adding some particles in the bullet hole, to make it looks like it shatters to dust near the hole.

making the glass break more uneven maybe smaller pieces toward the center and more slowly, considering that this is a high speed video, the glass breaks almost instantly.

  • @ermalkoci

Thanks. I will consider your helpful notes when I do something like this again!

    Cheers Silverwing

  • Can you do this on " AutoDesk 3DS Max " ?

  • @joshster456

I can´t but I bet that there is someone who can. There´s a cool plugin for 3DS Max called RayFire. They say its easy to do things like this with it! Hope I could help!

    Cheers Silverwing

  • @joshster456 yeah its easy to do things like this using 3ds max if you know what you are doing.

  • awesome work can u tell me wch program u use 4 create

  • @loverb821

I used Cinema 4D to do the 3D and After effects for Comp.

    Hope I could help!

  • I Beg you for a tutorial! Please!!!!1 you will give so much ppl a better C4D Experience/ a life xd

  • how do yout make your glass texture so pure? mine sucks

  • @dud3s1nh3ll

I think it´s all about the reflections. If you are doing those right it will look much more realistic. For the glass mat I only used the refraction channel with an IOR of 1.6 (Index of Refraction).

    Cheers

  • Is there a tutorial ? :D

  • Tutorial please? Looks awesome!

  • Beautiful!

  • ITs an art :) kudoz

  • Nice! It looks very realistic :)

  • I loved it, everything was just perfect! even the bits of glass flying out going out of focus. just amazing

  • Which components of Cinema4D did you use for that? Is there a tutorial?

    Super Animation 5 Stars!

  • @kaiunger85

    Hi...

Just a polygon plane, the cutter knife tool and the Explosion FX for the glass and a lathe nurbs for the bullet...

All available in the basic C4D edition.

  • Hey I find it really awsome :) Is it possible to do something similar to this but with a person, being hit by words and cracking?

  • @OriginalShuffler

Hi there and than you for your comment!

Well its possible to do something like that with a person I think. Yu have to use another tecnique then I did because the way I did it is only working for plain surfaces.

    Cheers Silverwing

  • Das ist richtig cool! Ich mag es :)

  • @mauricepape

    Vielen Dank!

  • Wow thats amazing

  • @ladyofda07

    Thanks!

  • badass man, I've got to learn 4d or maya

  • That material is just deliciously realistic!

  • man.. you are amazing... can u make a tutorial of this ? please?

  • @Ybrazo

Hi there... I´m sorry I can´t do a tuorial at this time as I am extremely bussy this days!

But thanks for your nice comment!
