I had forgotten how great this movie was. What happened to Nic Cage, by the way? He went from Raising Arizona and Bringing Out the Dead to The Wicker Man and Ghost Rider. Come back to us, Nic.
My favorite characters include the deadlocks guy who keeps screaming for water and the asian nun who always carries around those plastic fetuses. I'd like to see their scenes.
This is a great film, I just watched it today. I'd recommend it, to fans of Scorsese and just the casual viewer. This scene has to be one of my favourites I think, but does anyone know where that version of Red Red Wine cold be found? It sounds really good! It might just be some basic random mix but whatever.

This is a film about the works of mercy. If you weren't brought up a catholic, you might not know them: there are seven corporal works of mercy: feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, harbour the harbourless, visit the sick, free the prisoners and bury the dead, and seven spritual works of mercy: instruct the ignorant, counsel the doubtful, admonish sinners, bear wrongs patiently, forgive offences willingly, comfort the afflicted and pray for the living and the dead.
bringing out the dead is my favorite Nicolas Cage movie my favorite part there is yeah you don't eat food I eat Larry I eat I just have 'nt had coffee yet only coffee and wiskey lucky you ain't dead with that diet.
i'm trying to find a title of this song in the background but i can't understand what this black singer is singing. so if anybody knows the name of it or may write me some sentences from this song (i mean lyrics) i will be thankful
Fantastic/Brilliant movie. Nicolas Cage does his best performance to date, and his paramedic buddies and the people he encounters are all very well portrayed. John Goodman is a fat, sweaty but likable paramedic, Tom Sizemore is a psychotic ambulance driver who has his very own view of the job, Ving Rhames is a delivered Christian who takes the job as an opportunity to save souls, Mark Anthony is an interesting street weirdo, and Patricia Arquette is a weary woman who loses her father

Great great film. I always felt this strong connection to this movie. Truly one of Scorsese's best. Funny, emotional and disturbing!
So overlooked and underrated. If you haven't seen it, please do yourself a favor and look it up.
