Dub is a SICK science... sounds easy to do when you just listen, but... making something interesting to listen to with only rudimentary elements involved is hard to pull off. The dub elements you hear in Sublime's music are mostly the 'random' echoes, BIG snare hits and drum rolls out of nowhere, and the instrumental jams...

"and stuff"... nah man. Dub is like this - when a band records a tune, generally each musician is recorded individually but simultaneously. AKA, you can listen to just the bass, just the vocal, just the drums, etc... in the studio. To make the tune, an engineer mixes each individual instrument into a stereo recording... DUB... is all about taking those individual tracks and RE-mixing them (usually without the vocals) and making it a totally different experience.
