Sweet. That's exactly my bike right there, even the color is the same. I was able to get my GT all terra (timberline) for about $80 on craigslist and never looking back. It's a real great bike and I was able to completely tune it up; changed the saddle, chain, shifters, tubes, and added slick tires. I made this awesome vintage bike into a hybrid.
@ieatmilks I agree. They are excellent hardtails. I highly recommend picking one up to anyone. I replaced my original Shimano Rapidfire shifters with EZfire shifters, EF-50 7speed, and they are much better that the early trigger shifter design. Supposedly the newer GT I-drive full suspensions are very nice as well. I wouldn't go with a low end GT since mid-90s though, that's when Pacific Cycles bought the brand along with Mongoose and a number of other nice bike brands.
@DarthSensate Oh very nice. I'm thinking of doing some long term projects with this bike as well. Perhaps change the color to silver / black, new rims, get a flat bar instead of the stock bull horns, change the wiring, and more. It's going to look great when I'm done with it!
I couldn't tell you. I don't ride with them normally. I just hooked them up for fun for the video and to demonstrate that the motor has PLENTY of pulling power. Just the bike and batteries and motor and me can do 22 miles with two significant hills in between... and that's with REALLY OLD SLA batteries.
family life is so great!!!

Quick question! by how much your range and top speed is decreased when you added the trailing bike and the trailer?
