Would they have put Alex and Herb together if Call had stayed or was that never going to happen?

I was never quite sure about Alex/Asa, as I didn't believe Asa would ever be interested in her, since she was so clearly insane.

Herb/Alex might have been fun -- she was more his type. And of course, being choked was foreplay for Alex.

@CarlD2 (lol) you know what as I was watching this I thought the same thing! Herb and Alex would have made a good couple and yes she actually his type. I actually thought it would have been great for him to marry her because of blackmail and they fall in love. Isn't that what sort of happened with him and Dorian? not really blackmail but it started as business and ended up being one of the longest and solid relationships on the show.

@htownwatcher Yeah, Dorian and Herb did seem initially more about power or ambition. Herb seemed to love Dorian for her nutty moments almost as much as he hated her for them. That contrast between unpredictable Dorian and stalwart Herb was good drama. I'd love to have seen how he might have been with Alex, and to see the fireworks with Cassie and Dorian. As it was I don't think they ever knew what to do with her after Carlo "died".

Finally got to watch it through! lol... Love Herb/Cassie! I miss them both. Alex was a trip! htownwatcher... it might have been. He wasn't on much longer after this, and was gone I think before the Homophobia stuff (don't recall him supporting Cassie through that). Herb took a DA job in Chicago. Anthony Call had an interview and said that Phil Carey was giving him the cold shoulder, becaue AC was letting them backburner Herb. It was a wake up call for AC, he decided to pursue other stuff.
