I suppose that if praying were a complete bust people would have quit it long before that study but I could be wrong. Some folks tend to think that praying & God work like the Genie in the Lamp from Aladin and will grant them what ever they want when where & how they want it. Oddly we won't find out with 100% certainty the entire truth of it all untill after death and it's not like many of have been able to come back from that and tell their stories. Let's see...here we pay 20% to the IRS, 6 % to the state 2% to the city 7 % for ficu another bit of a percent for misc and then 7pct when we buy stuff plus all the taxes on your cable, phone, etc. so ywhat do you get? pot holes. It's math. 2009 tax 25, state 6, local 2, fica 7, sales 7 that's 40 out of paycheck and another 7 on about half of what's left so call that 3...so minimal 40pct in taxes on the middle class.
