  • party car lol

  • i dont think theres enough lights on it

  • no cage?

  • how did you mount the grill lights?

  • that vic looks awesome.....I wish we had take homes!

  • needs more lights

  • sounds like it was in a fire station i heared the dispatcher

  • if the sheriff's dept has such a specific job why do they get paid less than regular county? At least in Maryland.

  • Well the whether you like it or not the Sheriff calls the shots for county police.

Just like the Mayor of a town/city calls the shots for city police.

Like the President of the United States calls the shots for the military yet, none of these leaders have police powers. They are all elected officials. Elected officials call the shots everywhere when it comes to Government. And yes I forgot about the transit police. RR police have full police powers as well. They can cross jurisdictions too.

  • prince george's county maryland has A shitload of city police, PG County Police, PG Sheriff, Metro Transit police, Park Police, Fuckin they gotta lotta police

  • and UMD camps police,Federal police, and NASA police, more like nasa security

  • People get the Sheriff and the Sheriff's Police mixed up...

  • you people below me are retarded, lets see

    1st theres city police

2nd would be county police (county police patrol the "county") 3rd would be state police

And then you get federal (us marshall's FBI Etc Etc

Every county in the country of the United States has a Sheriff's office. The Sheriff IS the county police. There's only 1 sheriff per county everyone else is called a "deputy" let's say it together now, D E P U T Y. Good! You get a sticker.

  • no shit really

  • bluebloodp71 seems to be a lil bitter. Did your force screw you over somehow?

  • look im form TX and I've just never seen

county police.. ok so i asked a simple Qs and

and yeah i know its not that hard to figure out. but as i said it was a simple Qs and people made a big deal out of it.

  • Well the sheriff in PG county is not the county police. They have certain duties in PG county that they handle. The county and city police handle everything else. That's probably why in the video that car has "county police" on it and not county sheriff.

In charles county the sheriff deputies do all police investigations, it's not the same in PG county

  • oh ok so its something like a constable

  • Police for whatever county they work in. Not Sheriff. Most likely they dont have that many incorporated cities to have there own police so the county has to provide.

  • Wrong. PG also has Sheriff and over 25 different law enforcement agencies. It's one of the most violent counties per capita.

  • what is county police ? is that like a sheriff of some thing?

  • Prince Georges County Police..... not that hard to figure out.

  • you dont get what im asking . in TX for a county we have sheriffs not police. maybe your sheriffs are just for jail

  • Sheriff's are commonly found out on the East Coast in smaller counties or in some spots obvious country looking towns that are so small everyone knows eachother. Like on an Air Force base depending on the size and if it has an active runway or not they use SF as either hardcore SP's or a mix of SP and Security when not deployed for combat situations. So in a way the security guys are like sheriff's and the SP's are the regular cops.

  • It really varies from county to county and state to state.

Some places will have a Police Department and some will have a Sheriff's Office. Sometimes a Sheriff or Police Chief is elected to his/her position and sometimes they are appointed by the county. In the end, they usually do the same job of enforcing the law, but some have extra duties as well.

Strangely, the Sheriffs we have in Canada are more like your court bailiffs in that they secure the courts and transport prisoners.

  • thanks best answer i got i appreciate it

  • No problem. When it comes to local governments and things like police and courts in the United Staes, what you see in one area can be completely different in another.

I've always found that to be really interesting.

  • yeah me too

  • Like someone else said it all depends on the area of the country. the term "County Police" is not real common but it is still used in some areas. It also has a great deal to to with the incorporated areas of a county. If a county grows into a large municipality but does not have a police dept the Sheriff is the chief LE officer of the country so they do the police work in those areas. The terms Marshal, Constable, Ranger, etc. are also used differently across the U.S. & are unique to the area.

  • What is moron? Is that like you or something?

  • and your point is ?

  • hmm. you get able 2 lights and code 3 lights and federal signal lights

  • Unless you a cop or a ff you won't get any red/blue lights at all. Smokeeater isn't that dumb.

His job is too important to him to sell them to a whacker wannabe.

  • really? why are you calling me a wannabe? to bad i don't try to act ghetto. I have a life and is support police officers. in case you haven't noticed from my other posts on other videos my dad is a state trooper.
