@LiteSting No. Deadpool was young and Handsome looking, until he found out he had cancer. He then was asked to take part in the Weapon X program in hopes to cure him. However the Heal Factor was also added to the cancer, rather than getting rid of it. So it took over his body/skin, and now he's visibly scared from it.

The G4 news on Deadpool through the AOTS site only goes to March 4, 2011 and they were saying it was still on.

What I've seen this month are interviews with Ryan Reynolds where he talks about working on the script and the director also being a fan. The most recent was about the director's presentation and that the movie will not cost more than 100 million. June 9th

@brynnjarvis080 Not actually. Deadpool is disfigured because he has CANCER. This is also why he joined Weapon X; they promised to fix his cancer. Weapon X took Wolverine's healing factor and modified it to keep Wade Wilson alive. Wade was deemed a failure, as he couldn't undergo Weapon X and was thrown into the deadpool with all the other failures, hence, his name. He's also psychotic and has 3 voices in his head. Hallucinations for him are common. Oh, and he can even re-attach his limbs :D

First, they cloned Wade Wilson in Wolverine before converting him to Weapon X, which you would only know if you saw one of the scenes select theatres had (seemed like every theatre got a different scene). Second, the Deadpool film will be a separate continuity than the Wolverine film, just as the Spider-man reboot will be a separate continuity from the Toby Maguire films.
